Is the Princess meal trifecta (all 3) too much?

I've had Cinderella's Royal Table and 1900 Park Fare Diner/storytime booked for a while...my 5 yo daughter loved CRT last year so we wanted to do it again and try 1900 Park Fare as well.
I called to book our last table service...wanted Le Cellier but the best time was 8:40 (with fireworks at 9 so we'd miss them). The Norway Princess diner was available for 7:50, so I booked it but I'm wondering if 3 Princess meals is too much. We are also doing the Donald & friends breakfast at Animal Kingdom.
Anyone ever done all 3 Princess meals? Is it too much...is it possible for 5 year olds into the princesses to get too much?

I don't think it's too much. I've done both CRT and Norway, and enjoyed them both. I also really want to do the GF dinner. Have fun!

You don't say how many children you have, but if it is just your 5yo DD, then it is definitely NOT too much! My daughter would eat B,L,D with the princess 7 days a week if she could. I think your daughter is a very lucky girl to have a Mommy like you - go for it!

Well, I did two on my last trip and my dds were 5 and 7 at the time, and they like the princesses as well as the next kid. I think we could have easily skipped the second one, so yes, I would say three would be too much.

we just did all 3 for our 4yo in Nov. While it wasnt too much (1900 for dinner then CRT for lunch and Norway Breakfast in that order) she did find the breakfast to be a little of the been there done that. though it was very enjoyable just didnt have the pizzazz after the previous meals. I would say that CRT was an expeirence that every princess should do. Eating at the castle just cant be matched. The interaction with the characters at 1900 was by far the best we had. when we head back in Dec we will most likely do CRT for lunch again and the dinner at 1900 and try another CM like Chef Mickeys . hope that helps:)

Thanks for the comment...but I'm actually the dad. My wife has only been to WDW 4 times vs. my 13 trips...but only because my folks took me and my younger brother MANY time when we were young...which is also a reason I'm still open minded to all the princess stuff, never done it until last March.

From 1 Dad to another, I don't think it's too much. My wife, DD 8, DS 7, and I are going to Disney this summer. My wife and I contemplating going to all 3 meals. Both my son and daughter do not want to miss CRT, or Akershus! We have never been to 1900 Park Fare and wanted to try it. So I figure they are only young once, and in few years I will be wishing they still wanted to go.

Who knows maybe they will be like Dad, and love the characters even as adults!:woohoo:

Better yet - being the Dad, you will always be her Prince Charming! :lovestruc

As a note....we have decided on 1900 PF this trip because Prince charming is there. We have done Akershus and CRT in the past. All have their plusses. Good Princess interaction at Akershus and location/atmosphere at CRT. But the bonus for us at 1900 was Prince Charming. My daughter will be doing BBB again this trip right before she gets to meet the Prince...too cute!

Enjoy!

I don't think so. My DGD is into the Princesses so we try to indulge her. I think all three restaurants have different experiences, although I admit we took DGD to the Norway breakfast, no the dinner. 1900 PF now has the Stepsisters and Lady Tremaine, along with Cinderella and Prince Charming, so this is totally different from Princesses visiting the tables. These ladies are funny and not at all quiet and reserved with Princess manners.

In December, during our family trip (with dh and ds-2yo), we did a TON of character meals...including Park Fare and Akershus (breakfast).

In July, I'm taking dd down to WDW for her 7th birthday...just the two of us... and we are doing Park Fare, Akershus (lunch), AND CRT (breakfast).

In December we did (in the order we dined):
Chef Mickey's - dinner
Akershus - breakfast
Boatwrights - dinner
Tusker House - lunch
Crystal Palace - dinner
1900 Park Fare - dinner
Hollywood & Vine - lunch
Le Cellier - dinner
Whispering Canyon Cafe - dinner

For our mom and dd trip in July we are dining at (just made the ADRs and we are on the Deluxe Dining Plan):
Chef Mickey's - dinner
1900 Park Fare - dinner
Donald's Safari Breakfast @ Tusker House - breakfast
Hollywood Brown Derby - Fantasmic Dinner Package
Cinderella's Royal Table - breakfast
Tony's Town Square - dinner
Akershus - lunch

So that is the long way for me to say, no I don't think three is too much and I also believe that you can never have too many princesses! princess:

No such thing as too many princesses. And I think since you are doing diners you won't get too much of the same stuff(except those potatoes!!:rotfl2: )

1900 really doesn't feel charactery overkill to us. We have not been since they added the evil step sisters but I hear they are fantastic and we may have to go back here again(the food was pretty good for disney buffet)

CRT- is an experience unto itself and honestly the Norway restaurant is very themey in and of itself. So yeah they'll be a lot of princesses- but as my dd said "Mom that prince really IS charming!" Go and enjoy! I think she'll love it all and really the food at the first 2 is very different- I can't speak for the norway diner we did breakfast. (If she dresses up make sure to take a picture in front of the waterfall in Norway.) It is my favorite photo I have of my dd in her princess dress. She is 10 now and still mentions that it would have been perfect if she had on the princess shoes instead of her Keens.:rolleyes1

We got back a week ago from Disney doing 1900PF and Noway breakfast. Norway was by far my dd4 favorite. She got to meet Belle and Ariel...she was thrilled!

I have two opinions on 1900 PF. My dd got to dance in a special dance with Cinderalla and she was so excited. The step-sisters noticed that daughter was a bit scared of them and they toned it down and said they were nice tonight and they really did like Cinderall and her dress. I was impressed. They really paid attention to that...while being silly with some other kids. I thought that was great and I thanked them profusely.

Now, prince charming...I wasn't very impressed by him. I think we may have gotten the "sleazy" prince charming! Hubby said to me after PC visited our table "PC looked you over more than he talked to the kids." My daughter wasn't too impressed with him. Maybe we just got one having an off night...or a night with wandering eyes.

We did not do CRT as we knew we would see Cinderella at PF.

We had a totally different experience w/ him last month.

He was the first character to stop by our table and dd had her autograph book all ready for him to sign.

He squatted down next to the table ...on level w/ dd (6.5yo)... and spoke w/ her for a few minutes. When it came time to sign her book he asked her if "his love, Cinderella had signed it yet." Dd responded that she hadn't.

"Would it be okay w/ you if we saved this page for her and I'll sign right here on the next page? You know my love comes first not only in my heart but in all things in my life!"

Dd thought he rocked!

Our interaction w/ Cindy, Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters was all great too. LT complimented dd on her jewlery and asked if she knew any eligible wealthy young bachelors, and one of the stepsisters complimented dd on how beautiful she looked in her Cinderella dress and then "whispered" an aside to her, "I always thought Cindy shoulda been a brunette!" (Dd is a brunette).

We really enjoyed 1900 Park Fare...so much so that we are going back (along w/ Akershus) in addition to having breakfast in the castle. I know I'm splurging but it is a special trip JUST for dd's birthday, so that's okay!

I say NO WAY! We plan on doing all 3 ourselves on our next trip (CRT for Breakfast, Norway for Breakfast, 1900 Park Fare for dinner). We love seeing the princess but the food quality is also important. If I was going to skip one it would be the castle (breakfast is okay...dinner was terrible). We love 1900 Park Fare. Norway will be new to us this year so I'm looking for opinions on that one.

We did CRT breakfast with DD when she was 3 y.o. and she loved being in the castle.

Our next trip, when DD was 5 y.o., we did Akershus for lunch and 1900 Park Faire for dinner - we (4 adults and 1 child on this trip) thoroughly enjoyed them both. :goodvibes

DD did ask why she wasn't getting to dine in the castle again, so NO I don't think dining at all 3 is too much! ;)

Thanks for the input...I feel better about it now...CRT for the location, 1900 for the unique characters (stepsisters + prince), and Norway for the theming and food.
Works for me.

I am so glad Sea-Donkey posted this question....because we are thinking about doing:

CRT for Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner not all in the same day

Akershus Breakfast

1900 Park Fare Dinner

We will be in Disney for 15 days.....and my dd loves the Princesses, especially Cinderella. Last year we did CRT (dinner) and My Disney Girls Perfectly Princess Tea Party at the GF and in 2005 we did Cinderella's Gala Feast.

We love sit down meals and had one every night in Sept 2007...it was the perfect ending for our day. If we had more kiddies it may not be feasible.

We did CRT last year AFTER she went to BBB.....everyone made a fuss over her in her Ariel costume. :wizard:

We are doing all three next trip....and it won't be the first or the last time!

I don't think so :)

My sister and I will be 22 and 23 (respectively) on our next trip and we plan to do as many character meals as possible.

I was 14 when I first went to WDW (on a H.S. choir trip) and my sister was 15 for her first trip, so we never really got to experience any of this when we were younger and we never had the time (or so many dining credits) before, so on our next trip, we're doing Princess dining and character dining to the max!
