Is the Paddock section best for Disney Springs, if you're not in the preferred section?

Hi, going in 3 weeks, a lot of the trip will be shopping and dining at DS. Since we're not in the preferred section, would the Paddock section be the best option to get closer to Disney Springs for walking?

Paddock is large. If you're on the side closest to the DS walkway, then definitely yes. If you're on the far side, then it's a toss up with Grandstand. Carousel is always the furthest. You could request the Paddock area closest to DS.

Paddock pool bar is best place to be, and is convenient from all of Paddock.

We love the Grandstand area because its an easy walk to DS...but you do end up on the Westside and not Marketplace side. If that is the area you want, then Paddock is it. I have not stayed there but have heard great things!!!

We visited SSR in November and requested paddock but got Carousel 7534 , near the entrance gate. Rooms are beautiful but we were very isolated from everything and didn’t have a car.

this is great information - thank you. Trying to decide now if we should switch our OKW reservation to Saratoga Springs.

Last summer we had preferred view, but we really wanted Congress Park-we received a text while we were in Seaworld, stating we were in the Springs section. I called the number, the CM said I'll have someone call you back. A few minutes later a CM called, and he had switched us to Congress Park. Sweet! That's customer service! He said the only thing is the room wasn't ready yet, but no big deal since we were still at Seaworld.

I'm a Paddock fan since it's the middle bus stop. It's likely the bus won't be full when it gets to you, and you don't have to sit through all the stops to either enter or exit the bus. I've seen the buses skip the stop at Springs because they were already full.
