Is the "once per ride" on Express Pass really enforced?

Planning a split WDW/Universal trip and intending to split the stay also, to get the unlimited FOTL access to maximize available time to spend at WWoHP. But a friend just got back and said she used her purchased Express Pass (and staying offsite) multiple times per ride. Was she just lucky that day, or is it not really enforced? Thanks!

I have seem them enforce it pretty strictly when we have been there, turning people away if they previously used it. Maybe they had a VIP pass that allowed unlimited entry? If they were able to use a basic express multiple times all day they got lucky I am thinking. :thumbsup2

We recently discovered an unlimited EP that's only available at the gate...that's probably what she got. Remember...Forbidden Journey does not accept Express at this time. The EP is scanned at the entrance of each attraction queue.

Ours were scanned when we used them with a handheld scanned as we entered the ride so I would say they are one use only and that can be tracked easily. This was a few weeks ago.

She may have gone on a day when there were absolutely no crowds and some rides didn't check. On the days where you really benefit from the express pass, it will be strictly enforced. In Wizarding World, express is only accepted at Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff (two rides with quite low lines).

In July, everyride entrance had a scanner, and some did try to go a 2nd time, but the scanner alerts the TM that it has already been used on that ride, so they where turned away

I saw some turned away too when I was there August 29th-Sept 4th. I was right behind them and heard the CM say 'these particular passes are good for only once per ride and have already been used'.

when we got them sometimes the cast members would scan it but others they just didnt bother also sometimes they scanned it and the machines didnt make a sound

Honestly I think it depends on the days that you go. If it's really busy then yeah it's enforced. If it's not they just motion you through, at least thats my experience with it.
