Is the new extra magic hour at night a failure?

I was just kinda wondering if the extra magic hour at night bombed because Disney has annouced E- nights for June and July? I was hoping that EMH at night would be a giant success and Disney would keep it. I found EMH at night to be a much better idea then EMH in the morning.Do any of you have any ideas about this situation?

I don't think the E nights are reflective of the evening EMH "not working". It was reported that there would be E nights in spite of the trial evening EMH. For now all we can do is wait and see.

I do not think they are bombing out

I think they had the E-ride nights planned for June & July already before announcing the evening EMH

I view it as a trial period after which WDW will gather and analyse the data and see how it went financially and from a guest count perspective

I am going to find out very very soon how evening EMH is working out

thanks

They probably have to analyze the testing period before they can make it official. That could take months.

I agree with all above. They annouced the e-ride nights for June and July before they even had the first EMH night, which I believe was either last Saturday or Sunday.

The e-rides are not reflective of anything other than advance planning on the part of WDW. As others have said, I don't think we'll see anything regarding this test period until the fall.

Just my opinion though. :teeth:

Yes, this is, and was always intended to be, just a test. A final decision will be made after the numbers from the test period can be run and measured against information from the previous and following months with and without E-ride Nights.
I wouldn't expect anything to be determined before September/Ocotober.

Tonight's EMH at MK went very smoothly.

So can I assume there will only be early mornings in July, and will they be the usual ones park-wise?

Thanks Safari Steve for the insight

That would be a safe assumption

I hope they don't stop all the after hours choices in August. That would be my luck. They would stop E-nights in preparation for the late night EMHs!!! I would love to get the extra time free but I'm still willing to pay for the E-nights.
