Is the New Art of Animation Resort Available to Book With Points?

There is another thread going on a similar topic. Seems someone overheard that we may be able to book through Disney Collections in the near future.

Would make sense to me as Disney needs to offer some sort of additional "perk" to direct purchasers as GF will soon no longer be available.

This is along the lines of what I was thinking. Be very interesting to see what if anything happens in the future.

Not saying this could not change, but at this time AoA or any other value are not going to be added to the Disney Collection choices for DVC.

OKW doesn't have a food court or the huge number of pools like AoA. So there is some appeal to staying at AoA vs. OKW. We will know soon enough as people are already booked for the summer. Can't wait to hear about the reviews.

Surely, you jest. AoA over OKW? :rotfl:

Personally, I will take any deluxe DVC over a new AoA. However there are circumstances where I would book AoA ( with the grand kids if or when I get some). Seeing resorts thru a child's eyes are a little different than thru adults. However I would get those someday grand kids to come to love our DVC! :goodvibes

What about a legitimate DVC component at AoA? I doubt it'll happen but it makes more sense than SSR did at the time it was conceived.

We stayed at AoA for two nights (starting the day they opened) before our cruise on 6/2. It was nice and new and different as values go but it was brand new with only Nemo open. Food court was good, pool nice and uncrowned buses. Again, all of this because only one section was open but it definitely
Still felt like a value resort. Once it opens to full capacity I don't think I would be willing to stay especially using my points. We've used our 2012 pts and didn't want to borrow for this quick trip but we are a family of 5 so the moderates don't work well for us. All the reasons we bought DVC.

Thanks for your report! It's great to hear from experience.it helps wade through the hype. :flower3:
