Is the meal deal worth it?

Sorry, i'm sure this has been asked before, but what I really need to know is if the meal deal is for anyone to buy or do you have to be staying onsite, we are staying offsite. And what is the cost of it? Is it worth it? We will be spending 1 full day at US and half at IOA. Could I buy it for just 1 of my days, because i won't need it in IOA because we are doing the spiderman breakfast(unless it would cover that too.) So sorry about all of these questions. and thanks.
