Is the Kids Nite Out in-room babysitter allowed to use my CS credit?

We are getting a Kids Nite Out babysitter for 1 day, to watch our infant. When I made the reservation, it was mentioned that for the meal that we are to provide -- we could give cash, provide a meal in the room (since we are staying DVC), or allow her to use our room key. The lady I spoke to from Kids Nite Out said that their babysitters were authorized to do that if requested by the guest. Does this mean I may let her use one of our counter service credits and one of our snack credits during the day that she's babysitting?

If so, how does that work? Do I leave her a key? Yikes! Is it safe to do that? How do I ensure that the key is only used for those credits and no other charges are made???

Thanks

I don't think you are allowed to let her use any of your dining plan credits. I think they meant you can let her charge her meal/snack to your room using the room key. You can set up your room key to act as a credit card to charge any purchases on property. It would be like letting her use your credit card. As far as I know, there would be no way to make sure that no other charges are made but I would hope the sitting service would only hire reputable sitters and that the sitter would not risk their job over improper charging. You are trusting them with your baby, after all. You can put a limit on the amount that can be charged to your room. That may work in your case, but it would also limit what you yourself could charge back.

she is not actually allowed to use the CS credit, but they don't ask for ID, so how would they know if it is you or not? I know I will get flamed for saying that, but to me, you are not really cheating the system, you are not asking for an extra credit for her, you are using the one that you have already paid for. If you feel you can trust her with the room key, that is. And my ? is this... is she going to be leaving the room with your infant? or is she required to order room service, or are you expected to have the food already there when she arrives? I would not want her taking my infant out to get her meal. I guess you could go get her meal earlier in the afternoon, just make it something easily re-heated, like pizza. Then YOU would be using the CS credit.... she would just be eating "your" food!!

My choice would be $15 cash on the dresser for the meal. AMPLE for an entree' and soft drink and maybe dessert:cutie:

Thanks for all the input. I guess cash would be safest. $15 really? I thought $10...then just have snacks like cookies, chips, and fruit.

When you get your room keys, you can have at least one set up that doesn't have charging privileges. I am 90% sure you can have a card without charging privileges but with access to the dining plan. Officially, you can't let your babysitter use your dining credits, but there is nothing to stop her from doing so other than your conscience.

Personally, anyone trustworthy enough to be in my room with a kid is trustworthy enough to have access to my credit card. You can always stop at the front desk and see if she put any unauthorized charges on the card before returning to your room.

I would leave cash and have her get room service or pizza.
