is the free dining entire time at rack rate hotel even w/only 1 day ticket?

staying AKL 3nights - dont really need park tickets but of course would like the free dining!
so can i call and have the free dining added for 3 days and just get 1 day tickets? thats enough to make a package?
DH is only joining us the last day so we would be "wasting" his free dining? or could we double up somewhere?

I have reservations at BC 8/14-8/19.
I have no expiration park tickets purchased in Dec. 05.

I have a AAA rate at the BC.
The AAA rate + ding is about $123.00 less than rack rate.

Am I correct that in addition to the park tickets i already have I must buy at least a 1-day ticket for each member of my family?

I paid with AMEX but am a Disney VISA holder.

Must I cancel my original reservation and re-book?

I'm not so sure that this is the way to go for me.

I suggest you call through Disney Visa and find out the cost, then decide which would be better.You must have at least one day park tickets in order to get the free dining.

It's about $60, give or take.

With the new discounts moving away from room only and toward packages that include tickets, it seems the conventional wisdom of buying never expire tickets to save money on future trips may be questionable.

You can use his credits - either for extra TS meals or to go to 2TS Signature meals.

I plan to go ahead and buy my 10 day non-expiring hoppers then plan to stay at S/D sometime in the future. We save up starpoints with a Starwood AmEx. Leftover tickets plus 60,000 points = free week at WDW!!! We are staying 5 nights for free at the Swan this June. No dining though for that portion of our trip. We'll just eat very well during our 3 nights at AKL.
