Is the first week in december a good time to go?

Hi all - we are traveling in early december - the 4th through the 11th is this a good time to go? We went this past Feb and it was wonderful!

We love the beginning of Dec. It is a great time to see the holiday decorations/shows without the crowds. During our trip we wore shorts the first 2 days, then it rained the rest of the trip. The rain made the crowds even less.

We are thinking of going down right after Thanksgiving. We would leave Friday, get down their Saturday - taking the train from NY. I don't think we would go into the parks Saturday or Sunday. I was wondering how that Monday through Friday would be. We would be in the parks November 29 through December 3. I am hoping we can catch a MVMCP and enjoy all the holiday decorations, but hopefully not the crowds.

hi there..we are gonna be there at the same time you are.....i have researched and researched this..and this is definitely the best time to go..we were also there in february...the beginning and had a great time..we wanna miss all the crowds too.....from all that i have read and all that i have learned from all the wonderful people on this board we have picked a great time to go...

I've been going during that time for several years - it is fabulous.

I've loved all of my trips - except last year when I woke up the first morning and had to go to the hospital er and had my appendix out.

The crowds are just non-existent for the most part. I was going to go to MVMCP last year for the first time but missed it because of my hospital stay.

I love the shopping in Epcot and in the parks. Just think how your local stores put out so much more and have more variety at Christmas. I really don't buy much but I love to look at the things sold from the different countries.

You really have to resort hop to the deluxe hotels. The decorations are really something.

The Thanksgiving crowds are still pretty bad until the Monday afterwards, but the decorations are up and it is beautiful.

Why is everyone finding out about the best time of the year to go to DW..just kidding,this is the best time for our family to go to DW..Crowds are low,decorations are up, MMVMCP is just too fun and it puts you in the mood for Christmas when you get home..some years have been really HOT and some years have been really COLDDDDD, HAD RAIN ONE YEAR A LOT AND ALL IN ALL HAD THE MOST FUN THEN AT ANY OTHER TIME OF YEAR..you will have to pack for hot and cold,make sure you bring gloves cause if its cold its very cold..your family will have a wonderful time and make sure to go to all the resorts and see all their decorations..its free and its so beautiful..have a great time..see you there..Marianne

we are going around that time as well the 6th - the 10th. I can't wait. I don't know a lot about the MVMCP is that Mickey's Vary Merry Christmas party? and what's that all about? How much is it?

ok now that I actually read about the Christmas party does anyone know if I can get tickets through shades of green? Military discount?
