According to the weather stuff I've found it seems to be high 80's low 90's but I vaguely remember it being MUCH hotter in September than expected- was this true at the end of the month?

Remember those are averages but weather in SoCal is highly variable, so yeah, it can be pretty hot.

Yes. We went last week of September in 2014. Never again. It was miserable. The weather *could* be in the 80s. Or it could be 95-105.

I was there 9/23-26 this year. It was the hottest I had ever experienced...and I always go late June early July. I still had fun, but it did get a little miserable at times.

Autumn in southern California doesn't usually happen until November, so September and October can range from warm to very hot.

lol yes we were there mid-end September 2014 and we experienced a week of very hot weather the 95-105 another poster referred to. It was a good excuse to ride the water rides repeatedly and eat ice-cream for lunch. For us it was most likely our one and only trip (from Australia) so we made the best of it and had a fantastic time anyway.

Yes September and October are generally very hot months for So Cal. Fall doesn't start until after Halloween around here. ;)

I was there Sept 6-11 this here, it was 102 every day, and the Monorail was closed! So, paying extra to stay at the DLH, with Monorail as a PERK, was not the case! Its HOT, every Labor Day weekend, Heck, last Thanksgiving it was in the 90's all week!
You can never tell about So/Cal!

We were there this past September, 9/26 to 10/3. I think it was low to mid 90's most days, which would have been fine (I like it warm) except it was super humid too! I think that type of humidity is unusual though, the locals didn't seem too happy. We made the best of it though :)

It can vary greatly. We went October 2014 and it was beautiful fall weather. We went October 2015 and it was 100 degrees. But, we had an amazing trip on both vacations. When it's hot it's only during the day, peaking in the afternoon, and the. Cooling off at night. When it got really warm we would go back to the hotel and swim, or do something indoors (tiki room, tough to be a bug, Lincoln, and there's always shopping!!) don't let some "maybe but not definitely" warm weather ruin your trip. Remember: it's always hotter at Disney World!!

I know we were the same week in early Nov. Would you not go back again then next year?

I think we would if we could but we bought AP's with the intent of getting two yearly trips in on them so we can't go the exact same week. :(

Gosh maybe we should change our plans...that sounds miserable. :/

Got it. We went in oct 2013 and late sept 2014 and, with the exception of saturday 11/7, I thought crowds were better this year, even with all the 60th stuff going on. Next year we may try to go mon-fri the first or second week of Nov.

Whereas, we were there from 8/7-8/13 this year, and, other than the very last day (which was a half day anyway), we had lovely weather in the 80s.

We've been the last three Septembers and it's been miserably hot all three times. The first time we thought it was just an unusual heat wave. The next year it was even hotter and we vowed never again. But, the desire to experience the 60th anniversary celebration and expiring annual passes that we didn't plan to renew for a few years forced us back again this year. Although we had a good time, we decided that next time we'll time our annual pass purchase to get our two trips in during January/February.
