Is the day pass for rainforest room something that sells out?

I am scheduled for sailing the 3 night double dip on Fantasy in may. I have sailed once before so now I am silver status, which means I can book online activities sooner, but cruise has to be paid in full. I didn't plan on booking anything and figured I could have several more weeks to finish paying for the cruise. But I stumbled across info on the day pass, and I really would like to check out the special showers. Is this something that normally sells out quickly? Being a double dip cruise I hope to spend most of my time on Castaway cay, but may be interested in sneaking away to do this if the price is still reasonable( fairly old info online I was viewing). You can book the rainforest pass at any time by calling DCL. This is not something that you book during your online check in. You purchase the pass through the gifts and amenities section of the website. It cannot be purchased online, you must call DCL.

We had the one day pass on our cruise that we just got off of and I know this is an unpopular opinion but we thought the rainforest room was very overrated and honestly, kind of lame. Loved the small hot tubs and the heated tile loungers but the rainforest showers themselves were not something we would ever consider doing again.

The rainforest showers don't have much appeal to me, either, but the hot tub and heated loungers do.... My question is that on these shorter 3- and 4-nt cruises, is the Rainforest Room, tub, loungers, full or overly crowded? Do they only sell a certain number or do they put a limit on entry? We're sailing in August, which seems like a high time. Wondering if RR will be too crowded to enjoy?

The one time I tried RF room on Dream it was a joke compared to real thermal suites on big ships. A couple of loungers (full) and a hot tub (full). Showers were more of a gimmick than anything. Look for pics of the thermal suites on the newer NCL ships and you'll see what I mean. E.g., there's a pool almost as big as the DCL adult pools *inside* the spa on NCL.

On our 3-night dream, the hot tubs were usually full. Although they look big, they can't hold many people. It's not like the ones where there's a ledge and people sit all the way around. And sometimes the people in them stayed for really long times even though others were clearly waiting to get in (like over an hour). Usually did not have a problem getting a lounger though.

Mid Day is the busiest times for the Spa area. We didn't ever feel like we needed to wait, but there are only so many rock loungers. You'll get maximum use on Castaway Cay day since everyone would be off the ship. Our only experience on a short cruise was the 4 day and we used it while in Nassau. We have used it on longer cruises but that discussion is not relevant here.

They do put a cap on the number of passes they sale but that does not prevent the occasional time it may be full. Yes there are only like 10 loungers but they are used off and on through out the day. We always have late dinning so on the longer cruises I love to go lounge in the 3-4 hours when main dinning people are getting ready for dinner. It is very relaxing and I just take a shower and get ready for our show and dinner in the spa so I can get a good amount of time in the room.

It will also depend on the weather. If the weather isn't great, there will be more people using it.

And even though the chairs are supposed to be a 30-minute limit when it's busy, it's an honor system and not everyone abides by that.

I love the RR, but there are just some things to be aware of.

OP asked the price. It is $16/person/day. (plus whatever taxes etc., so like $18). They are often not available on the ship, so bcWife's advice above and call the number in the gifts and amenities section. They will ask you to give a name of the person but that is so it can be presented to them on board as a gift. It can be transferred to someone else if you choose. Then once on board, you can pick any day you want and use it all day. There are a limited number of them. It wasn't very crowded on our 7-Day Fantasy, but the shorter ones might be different.

As for which elements are "good" or not, I'd say the elements are all very different from each other, so some of them are bound to appeal to you. Personally, I like water elements, so the showers appealed to me quite a bit. Very relaxing. I'm sure you will have your favorite!
