Hi,
we have stayed at all of the MOD's, and we disliked CBR, maybe it was due to the size, the check-in in a completely different building than anything....we just know that we would not want to stay there again.
since you are accustomed to the Poly, I suggest you try POFQ, it is the smallest MOD, and everything is within a 3 - 5 minute walk, just be aware that there is no TS @ POFQ, but, Boatwrights is a short walk/boatride over at POR.
we also love CSR, even though it is a convention center, the food is fantastic, and although the resort is quite large the right location makes for a fabulous stay, we choose this MOD whenever we stay for a longer period of time, and we choose POFQ for quick (less than 5 nights) stays.
Good luck and enjoy,
Michelle in NY, less than 95 days until CSR :woohoo:

My daughters and I love CBR. The resort has beautiful tropical themeing, bright/vibrant colors, sandy white beaches with hammocks, and friendly ducks. The rooms are 340 sq ft with two double sinks and storage. We love the food court and pool areas, too. Check out Safetymom's FAQ on CBR. She has a ton of great information about CBR.

CBR is a beautiful resort. You might want to check out the CBR FAQ listed below. I also have lots of pictures of the resorts. We love CBR.

We have stayed there 3 times and are planning a 4th. We love the theming and the size is a plus. It is a quiet resort. Although spread out, it is not a bad walk to the Olde Port Royale from any location. We have stayed far away and close too the OPR...would not choose any other resort than CBR.

We love the CBR! We stayed at the Poly, Beach Club, Coronado, & CBR.

CBR is my favorite for the actual resort. Beach Club is second for the pool and walking distance to parks.

You should know that CBR is huge but that's what makes it feel like a resort and not just a hotel. We do pay the extra money for the preferred locations which are closer to the food court, main pool/bar. We love the walk to and from breakfast and walking around at night.

The quiet pools are great too when you don't feel like going to the main pool.

I love CBR! The theming is beautiful...all bright and colorful. The rooms are large, larger than the other MODs. We had a great time there and would definitely go back.

Glad to hear all the great reviews as we are staying here for the first time in November for a week. Can't wait. 166 more days.

this may be a "no brainer" question for those that have been, but how do you get from Custom House (for check-in) to your room... it's too long to walk!

Of course there is a difference between the Poly and the CBR, but the CBR is one of my favorite moderate resorts (POFQ is my all time favorite). They do have similiar themes with the sandy beaches and hammocks. You can also see some of the Epcot fireworks from certain locations within the resort, and their rooms are the largest of all the moderates. :)

There is an internal bus that goes around the resort all day and evening. You can take it to any of the islands or the custom house or the Old Port Royale (food court and main pool).

Have stayed there twice before and will stay there again. Its a nice place, and quiet as well I might add.
