Is the Castle going to be re-decorated for the 35th Anniversary of WDW?

I just realized that my Disney glasses I got from McDonalds or somewhere similar YEARS ago have the cake castle on them.................I didn't even realize it until yesterday when I was drinking out of it.

BTW. I dont think that they will leave the 50th decorations up for the 35th. One: Becasue it was decorated for Disneyland's birthday not WDW's. And Two: Gold is the traditional 50th wedding gift, so I don't think it would go together. BUt I do think they should leave the Wendy, Peter Pan, and Tinkerbeel statues flying around the top turrent. It looks so cool.

I think for the 35th anniversary they should take down the 50th decorations, and in place of where the mirror is put a oriental 35, like they did for Disneyland Paris for it's 10th aniversary. And then decorate a littel bit all around the magic Kingdom.

And definatly bring back the parade they had for the 25th, except change it to the 35th.

But what ever they do, I hope they stay away from decorating the castle with ballons made to look like food.

Would anyone have any diea why they have the mirror from Snow White on Cinderella's Castle. Don't get me wrong, I think the mirror is awsome, just wondering though.

I hope they don't decorate it for the 35th anniversary. I think after the gold accents come down, they should leave the castle alone! I love the original look

It's like Fenway Park. It's a landmark. A beautiful one. Clean it up. Paint it if need be. Just stop putting things all over it.

So where is Snow White's castle?

There isn't one. DL, DLP, and HKDL all have Sleeping Beauty's castle. WDW and TDL have Cinderella. DL and HKDL's castles are nearly identical, as are the Cinderella castles. Paris's is the only one that doesn't have a "twin". It does make you wonder why Disney never used other names.

Oh its the mirror form Snow White alright. It's even got and apple on the frame.


This is a picture of the castle with the decorations, if you look at the Partners Statue, to the right of Walt's left arm you can see the apple on the mirror.

Found this really good picture of the cake castle. Click on the link below. You know, if it didn't look so cheap with the balloons made to look like candy, and if they had put a little more thought into it, they could have made it look alot better. To be honest it just looks like they decorated it with cheap crap. I mean I'm sure it wasn't very cheap, but they just could have done better. They could have left it white insted of painting it pink too. I think that would have made a difference.

Hmmm.....we will be at WDW for the last week in September. It will be interesting to see what changes they make during that week. I just hope they don't change the castle before I get to see it decorated for the Happiest Celebration on Earth!
