Is the 4th of July usually busy if it's in the middle of the week?

The 4th is on a Wednesday this year...is it usually crazy busy in the middle of the week or only during the weekend stuff?

It's not as bad when it's midweek as a weekend.

Still people show up through the day to pack in for the fireworks.

DH and I are debating coming to anaheim for a concert for one of our favorite bands. They perform in LA on the 2nd and the 3rd at the grove in Anaheim. I told DH if we go to California, I need to go to DL at least 1 day! Of course, that would probably be on Monday 7/2.

Of course, if you want to see fireworks on the 4th, there isn't a better show around. If you don't you can still go on the 4th, but you may want to do WoC and DCA in the evening.

Also remember, that will be 2 and a half weeks after the opening of Carsland. I don't know how bad crowds will be at that time and really haven't seen any reliable estimates. I'll be there that week and am expecting it to be packed.
