I think I can get a better deal going with a package through disney with the new code. Will I be able to get my $200 back from AAA?

You have to ask your AAA agent. Most have a cancellation fee when you cancel

I believe it is fully refundable up until 45 days prior to your arrival.
After that, you will be billed for your trip.

AAA travel follows the same guidelines as WDWTC for packages to disneyworld. If you are more than 45 days out the deposit should be fully refundable (the only exception would be if you have booked airfare, generally that is non refundable).

My AAA agent tried to tell me that it was non refundable when I tried to cancel because I had not heard from them after a week of trying to make a change. If there are any questions, they can call their contact with disney and they know the correct info.

MY AAA contract reads:

RESERVATIONS UNDER DEPOSIT ARE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION FEES AS FOLLLOWS..... 44-6 DAYS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE - 100.00 PER PACKAGE.
5 DAYS OR LESS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE - 200.00 PER PACKAGE.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN TO NO SHOWS.
ADDITIONAL PEAALTIES MY BE ASSESSED BY AIRLINES/HOTELS AND/OR OTHER SUPPLIERS. AIR FARES MAY BE TOTALLY NONREFUNDABLE. AFTER AIR TRAVEL HAS BEEN TICKETED THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL CANCELLATION OR CHANGE FEE OF AT LEAST 125.00 PER TICKET.
WALT DISNEY TRAVEL HAS A CHANGE FEE OF 50.00 PER PACKAGE PLUS ANY AIRLINE/SUPPLIER SURCHARGES FOR CHANGES MADE AFTER FINAL PAYMENT THAT RESULT IN RATE CHANGES.

I was able to cancel my package with AAA without any problem with them refunding the $200 deposit when I found I could get it cheaper through Disney. (I was more than 45 days out though)

Your AAA agent is able to apply the new code to your existing reservation. This is what we did. It ended up being cheeper than my original reservation but my confirmation number didn't change and my ADR's are still there. Plus I will still get some AAA benefits (VIP lounge, parking etc..).

Lucky you! I attempted to have the AAA code applied and my agent just did not want to deal with me anymore, I just canceled completely and went with Magical memories travel, they are fabulous!! I feel so much more at ease with my reservation now, true I only saved like $4 by switching, but the peace of mind is priceless!!!! + all the perks? SO cool for my first time to PI. :)

AAA refunded my deposit completely, no fees, I was outside of my 45 day window.
