Is the 18% Gratuity Added Before the Discount with DDE?

I would assume that this would be the most appropriate way so the staff members do not get tipped on a discounted bill.

But wasn't the excuse for eliminating the grauity from the DDP that people wanted flexibility to add their own gratuity based on service? Now they are including the gratuity on the DDE bill. I can see where they are worried about only being tipped on the discounted bill but how is this going to help service if they know they are guaranteed 18%?

It is for ALL DDE parties, as well as ANY party size 6 or more. It use to just be any party size 8 or more. Now they dropped it to 6 and have added it to ALL DDE party sizes at TS restaurants only.
