Is the 1 hour early worth it?

We were plannin on two days. One for each park, hitting most of dl one day, dca the second and after that going back to dl to hit anything we missed. I have now learned about the three day hopper with one early morning. We might use some of the third day, but want to do more than theme parks while in ca. My question is, is the 1 hour worth upgrading to a higher level ticket. We go to wdw a lot and could bypass some of the clones (ie muppet vision) and simple rides like dumbo. We r going in march.:happytv:

Magic Morning gets you entry into Fantasyland and Tomorrowland only. The nice thing is that the areas are not crowded, so you can get a LOT done, if those areas interest you. Then when the rest of the park officially opens, you're already in and can rush to get your first fast pass and do a few other rides with minimal wait, while everyone else is making their way throught the turnstiles and down Main St. IMO totally worth it. I love MM!

If you only have two days then MM is definately worth it. Fantasyland gets very crowded later on in the day. You could see that before the crowds and move on to other things.

I must admit that I didn't originally pay too much attention to MM's until 2008. But once we did an MM (and we certainly had many opportunities in the past to use MM's but just didn't take advantage of them), we saw what all the fuss was about. You don't realize how valuable that extra hour is until you get in and use it. We hit one Fantasyland ride after another with no line, including things we hadn't been on in years. But the best thing was getting on It's a Small World Holiday, in December, during peak holiday season, on the weekend before Christmas - and we were the only ones in the boat because it was so uncrowded! We even had time to spare in the hour after we were done.

If you want to get on Fantasyland or Tomorrowland rides with little to no wait, if you want to get a lot of uncluttered, people-free photographs, or if you just want to be able to look more closely at details in those lands that you can't normally see due to crowds - MM is your friend!!:thumbsup2

Our family did a big trip this summer & I was the only one with an AP.....so no MM for me..........I bought a 3 day PH just so I could do the MM.......YUP.....it's worth it (at least to me it is)!!

Fantasyland is crowded no matter the time of day......so this is the only real time we spend here.......we were able to ride every ride (that was open) in that hour & then we were at the front of the lines once the park opened!!

Absolutely worth getting up early for & getting to leisurely walk up Main Street & really soak in everything Disneyland has to offer!!

I just looked on Disney's site and the price difference between a 2 day and 3 day hopper is $15. YES, it is worth $15 to have a magic morning and an extra day admission if you want to use it. You will be amazed how many more rides DL has than the MK. And most rides are not duplicates of DW. Some are quite different, (but you are correct, Muppet Vision is one that is the same). You will not be able to see everything in 2 days, and maybe not in 3, depending on how crowded it is. If you do see everything you want to in 2, then you can just use the 3rd day to do a few favorites.

Definitely something you shouldn't miss. You can get so many rides done with minimal waits. Absolutely worth it!

I won't be a discenter on a fully :thumbsup2 supportive thread.

I would just say if the 3rd day works out to an extra morning that would be great. A morning on a non MM day is great. Often less people at open and you get into the whole park.

This is true it's super easy to get all of F L done quickly on a non MM day - make sure you're there early and *walk with purpose* to Peter Pan *which is always our 1st ride :) Unless it's a MM day that we don't have access to.

It is the most worth it perk. It is the main reason we stay onsite.

But remember you don't have to stay onsite to enjoy a MM ~ you get 1 with most 3 day + PHs ;)

That's not right. It goes from $161 to $186 for three day. Times 2 that's fifty bucks for another day/one good hour. That's whats hard to justify. Maybe we'll shoot for rope drop on a non MM day. Thanks for the help this is a great forum.

Maybe we'll shoot for rope drop on a non MM day

If you don't have an urge to spend a few hours of a third day, yes, $50 is a bit much. And if you don't have the MM, YES do rope drop on the non MM day.

Just do NOT enter Fantasyland at rope drop on a MM day when you do not have MM. That's just trying to hurt your chances of an excellent morning. :)

Being a WDW vet and hardly ever getting to go to DL it would well be worth the extra money to me the first or second trip! I loved the pictures without tons of people in them and we flew through FL. We would have skipped most of the rides otherwise and I really enjoyed riding Dumbo (something we NEVER do) and also Alice in Wonderland! I doubt we would have waited normally. We also went from ride to ride with pretty much no line.

All things being equal (in other words not factoring in extra cost of an extra day, etc) definitely do the MM. This was one thing I forgot in my DL from a WDWer thread: MMs should be taken advantage of. A lot of WDW vets say to not go to a park if it has EMHs because of the huge crowds that accompany that perk. I haven't found this to be the case for MMs and am thankful to the DL vet that recommended taking advantage of MMs. You can basically get in an extra run of Fantasyland in that time, it is really worth it.

Are you staying at a Disney hotel? If so, you'll get Magic Morning entry even without a three-day hopper pass. It's a perk of staying in their hotels.

I agree: MMs are definitely worth it. We had one last Thursday. By around 8:45 (45 minutes into the MM) we'd done five FL rides -- including Peter Pan, Dumbo and Alice in Wonderland. Any of those rides alone typically come with a half hour wait.

Cheers,

Rob
