He is tall enough, but I don't know if it is too fast, scary or jerky for such a young child. Has anyone taken their 3 year old on it? Should we wait until he is older? Thank you!

My 3 year old LOVED it! But she is a bit of a fearless daredevil. I don't think there is anything particularily scary even for a more timid child. My daughter did not like the 'stinky room' however! The ride is fast outside and a bit jerky and bumpy indoors but all in all well enjoyed by many younger (and older!) kids. If you are worried or just want to see what its all about you could always pull up a video of the ride from Youtube and have your child watch it and get an idea of if they would like it.

My DS 5 loved it when he was 3. He also enjoyed TMRR, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Mission Space (green version), and last year when he was 4 he loved Mt Everest. He still doesnt like Dinosaur and Tower of Terror but he keeps asking if he is tall enuf for R'N'R and Primeval Whirl. However my other DS 9, loves all of the above too now but at 3 he was scared to death of them. Each child is so different. You know your own child best. :)

The nice thing is, like BTMRR at MK, he could sit between DH and I. Sure the views aren't as great but we felt better knowing he was "craddled" (if you know what I mean). My DS also loved Splash, Goofy's Barnstormer, and BTMRR at 2 yo. I drew the line at ToT and DH said..."why not, he's tall enough."

DS rode it at 3 and absolutely loved it. It is still one of his favorite rides....he is almost 10.

My four year old liked it, but she won't go on again. She loved the stinky room, by the way, but I think the end part was too fast for her.

My daughter was terrified...which was bizzarre because she loved Splash, BTMR, and begged us to go on TOT. The only thing I could think was that it was too much like our normal commute (I live in the Baltimore/Washington area and drive 95 and the Beltways).

It was the truck...the truck put her over the edge.

My oldest was so scared to go on it and we finally pushed him on it somewhat forcefully! Well, not really, but we made him go.

After that, we couldn't get him to stop talking about it and how much he wanted to go again. I think we ended up going several times that trip.

I think he was 4 at the time though. My kids are short, so I don't think he could go at age 3.

My DS is small too. He does not like being told that he can not do something because he is to small  . He is going to be 4 when we take our trip next month and he is only 38 1/2 on a good day lol. I do not know what i'm going to do if he wants to ride some ride that he see other kid his going on and he can not because he is not tall enought for it. If you tell him he can not go on it because he is not tall enought this would be him for the rest of the day. :scared1:  :scared1:  . I would feel so bad.

What a great idea - thank you!

We just got back and both my kids loved it. Neither one is very adventureous, especially the older one, who was sure he was never going to make it through and came off totally psyched to do it again. It really isn't scarry at all just fast at the end, but not at all in a scarry way. Most of it is actually pretty tame and boring, it's the end that makes the whole ride. If he's tall enough and wants to do it I say go for it.

when my DD 4 loved it! But then she went on Everest our last trip and loved that too....I too am holding her off from TOT and RNR...while she may be a giant I am worried about those two.

My three year old, who was scared to go on Winnie the Pooh a second time (because of the storm) LOVED Test Track.

That happened to my son and I on our September trip...at 3.5, he was just barely 38 inches. (7 months later, he's only grown half an inch...:sad2: .) Since I knew before we went that it was going to happen, I made sure that he knew exactly which rides he could go on and which he couldn't. He was thrilled (:yay: :yay: ) with the one ride he could do (KRR), loved looking at EE (talked about the Yeti for days)...We rode Barnstormer and Buzz a lot:rolleyes:. It's hard having a short daredevil, isn't it?

As for TT...that's one of the ones he would have loved to ride. (Especially since Grandpa sells Chevrolets, and he does a little cheer every time he sees one in a parking lot, on the road, anywhere....) He wouldn't have been scared at all--but he's pretty darn fearless.

What are the sets like on test track? could a child sit between adults?

one thing i found helpful (im a very eaisly scared person) was making my other family members "preview" the ride first, then tell me if it was ok to go on. worked pretty well since they know me so well.
