As a new annual passholder/dvc member, I am considering a Tables in Wonderland card. We live in NJ, but have 3 trips scheduled between June and Jan. We have 2 adults, and 2 kids under 10 in our family. The adults do enjoy alcoholic beverages with dinner, which I understand the card is good for. For those that have had it, is it worth it? Will it give us enough discount beyond our passholder/dvc discounts? I would appreciate your perspective. Below are our dining plans....

June '15 (1 adult) - 1 ADR at Hollywood & Vine (Jedi Mickey - not sure if the card works there)?

Aug '15 (family of 4) - 7 ADR's (2 at Cape May Cafe, 1 each at San Angel Inn, Akershus, Le Cellulier, Teppan Edo, Via Napoli)

Jan '16 (2 adults)- will have 1 at San Angel Inn most likely

General rule of thumb is that you need to spend about $480 to break even. I kept a spread sheet last year as a local, DVC member and AP holder. We made out better than breaking even. Especially with alcohol. If you drink or even have a beverage or two it's worth it. TIW can be used at most (not all) bar locations too. So it adds up.
Some special event meals will not take TIW but you should ask. I did one year of just AP/DVC/Disney Visa discounts only because we didn't go as often that year. I would have made out better with TIW but marginally. So I'd probably check w/ All Ears.net and add up what I think I was going to spend on food and then apply both discounts to see if you'd be in the ball park of at least breaking even. TIW is also good for 13 months of purchase date so if you go back before end of June next year, you can still use it then. Also, I think the only discount you can get at Cape May is TIW. They don't do any other one. Just that one alone w/o alcohol is around a $25 discount. Add your tip back in and you are still saving at least $15 dollars before drinks and not having to tip more unless you want to.

Thank you! Also, I'm assuming it's an either/or discount with AP/DVC/TIW? Cannot stack them?

Unfortunately this is no longer the case Tables in Wonderland is only valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

TIW is not used on special events like SWW, Fantasmic Dining Package, Dessert Party, Dining with Imagineer, etc.

From their website
"‡ Participating Restaurants, Show times, Meal Periods and Dates are subject to change without notice. Show times are subject to change without notice. Excludes all Chef’s Tables at Disney Signature Restaurants. The Tables in Wonderland discount applies only to food and beverage, not merchandise or photo imaging. The Tables in Wonderland discount cannot be used in combination with any other discount and is not valid for Fantasmic Dinner Package, Food and Wine Festival events, Candlelight Packages, or other Special Events."

Remember TIW is good for the whole check, including alcohol. What we normally do is look at the menus and see if we will at least break even. 9 times out of 10 we will.
