Is Star Tours really being extended?

I believe last wk someone on the boards mentioned a rumor...they had read somewhere that Star Tours was being extended.?

Does anyone know if this is true or if anything has been verified?

We would LOVE that but do not want to be disappointed twice (first at finding out it was stopping the wk we arrive) and once more...

we went on it last weekend during star wars weekend, and it was exactly the same...

i would also like to know if this is true that they are going to change it up a bit... i know that dh would like to know this as well...

Star Wars Weekends are being extended for 2 more weekends...

Star Tours (the ride) is not being updated yet. Lucas confirmed recently that it will be updated in the relatively near future. (When he gets a chance.)

Yep, it's true! We just spent the weekend at WDW...heard the announcement in MGM at WWTBM.

We leave Friday to go down for the week. I was a little worried about MGM being busy due to Star Tours last weekend being there. This is great. My son loves Star Wars and is so looking forward to this.

the info in the allears newsletter states there will be no celebrities at mgm the 2 added weekends.
