Is Spectromagic performed the weekend after Thanksgiving?

We are planning a trip to WDW for my sister's wedding and would be arriving the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We might arrive a day early if Spectro is held that Saturday night - any clue from anyone who went that time this year?

We were there from the day after Thanksgiving through the following week (2002). I was worried about crowds so we had not planned to do any parks until Sunday, but we really wanted to see Spectro, which (if I remember correctly) was scheduled for both Friday and Saturday nights after Thanksgiving. We contemplated going to AK or Epcot during the day on Saturday and going over to MK for Spectro that night, BUT...we got lucky and they scheduled a Spectro on Wednesday night, the week after Thanksgiving!! We were planning to do the MK anyway that day!! I don't remember how early they scheduled that Wed. Spectro though, because I know for awhile we were considering having to go on the weekend...anyhow, can't guarantee they'll do the same this year, but maybe you'll get lucky too!!

If you want to have the best chance of catching Spectro, you'll have to stay over a Saturday night. That said, we've been the week after Thanksgiving for the past several years. Can't remember a year that didn't have Spectro on at least one weekday that week. It was usually Wednesday. HTH.
