Is Slinky Dog Dash really 60min waits at opening?

Can I ask what time you got to the park? I'm going next week and plan on heading to TSM at rope drop. Trying to avoid the craziness that goes for SDD. I figure we dont need to be there as early as we would if we were going to SDD, but dont want to be waiting too long either.

I want to say that we left our hotel (Boardwalk) at 8 and were through the tapstiles by 8:30.
