I want to dine with Shamu this August but my husband said Sea World is getting rid of their killer whales. Is this true or just a rumor?

Thanks :)

Completely false.

SeaWorld California is changing the Shamu show, but there will still be a show. The other parks will continue to have the shows they currently have, at least for the foreseeable future. I am sure after a certain period of time they will change the show, just like they periodically do with every show. SWC is changing to a show that focuses more on education.

I am not positive but I would be willing to bet that even SWC will continue with the Dine With Shamu dining experience.

One thing that will change, but it will not be for several years in Orlando - when they start the change over to the Blue World project, which makes a massive change to the killer whale habitat. I am sure at some point they will have to shut down shows or the dining. However, this is not currently scheduled in Orlando for at least 4 or 5 years.

I am getting this from the investor calls they have every quarter, and also their online investor resources. None of this is conjecture or behind the scenes knowledge (except for SWC continuing with Dine, that is strictly my guess)
