Is RSVPing a thing of the past? Vent inside....

AS for how brides deal with non rsvpers.

I told place how many we had and if anybody extra had shown there would have been no food. No rsvp no food.

I agree, no RSVP, no food. But when I say "there's no room" I literally mean, NO room. The problem for us is the fact that we're getting married in Las Vegas, and had a hard enough time finding a venue that holds more than 30 people (and wasn't WAY too expensive). We have it narrowed down to 2, depending on exactly what the guest list looks like. Either way we'll be within a few people of capacity. So for each univited person, that's one displaced invited person who either has no place to sit during the wedding or will not be allowed admittance to the venue at all if it reaches capacity.

So although I'm sure I'll be considered a royal witch with a capital B, I'm going to be strictly enforcing the "no uninvited people" rule. At least if they RSVP with additional people, or add them in when I have to phone them because they didn't RSVP. I might even call the people who did RSVP just to touch base, say Hi and confirm that yes, Aunt Mary and Uncle Joe will be attending the wedding so that they have the opportunity to say "we thought we'd bring Joe's long lost second cousin twice removed with us" and I can tell them "no" at that point.

The problem will be those that show up with uninvited guests, even if they've already been told there's no room.
