We are staying at AKL. We would like to do a "resort day" by the Monorail line... Our basic plan is:
Lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe, Do some shopping / exploring of the Grand Floridian.
Go to the Poly for a Dole Whip / shopping / exploring.
Perhaps go in the Polys Pool, IF it is allowed?
Then end at the contemporary for Steak House 71 Dinner.

Are you allowed to go to other resorts pools? I know you cant at the Beach / Yacht Club.

Absolutely not. Poly pool is crowded 24/7/365 just from the guests staying there; do you really think they would let everybody in the whole dang place in there too? It's not a waterpark.

Geesssshhhh lighten up. Someone that doesn’t know something and comes on here to ask should be answered respectfully!!!

As others have noted, only registered Poly resort guests are allowed to use the Poly pool. I'm sure, as an AKL guest, you wouldn't want guests from other resorts utilizing and crowding the amenities you paid deluxe pricing for? That being said, there are some beautiful areas around the resort where you can sit and enjoy the atmosphere, like the Poly beach, for instance. You could also rent a pontoon boat at GF or CR and enjoy the lagoon if you want to consider an alternative activity or even just go on the boats that go between MK/GF/Poly for something to do. They also have fishing excursions from Poly (reservations recommended) if you are looking for something to do in the area.

That's exactly what I was getting at....I didn't mean the policy was rough (I totally agree with the policy), it was the way it was worded that was rough.
