Is Photo package worth it at Universal?

Has anyone done the photo packages at Universal? I have done the photpass at Disney before and really appreciated having it! Are there a lot of characters or fun places they take your photos at Universal to make it worth the money?

I found it worth it but it was cheaper when I went. I bought it just prior to a price increase. I got the three day Photo Connect but was at Universal 5 days so had to select the days to use it. I think the ride photos, Simpson photos and Entrance Photos were definitely worth the price for the three day pass. There were more of course. I believe I got 40-50 frameable photos. They were pretty well composed. Consider the cost of individual ride photos and a few entry photos and it is worth the price.

It is not as good a value as it is in disney's even if it's cheaper.
There are less photographers

But it's still a pretty good value.
We did the 5 days package when it was offered a few years ago, but since then we have the passholder package, so I can't really comment on the value on a 1 or 3 days package.
But the way I see it, without the photo package, there is always a time when one would like to get a picture, and give up because photos in theme parks are so expensive. Buying the package in advance takes away that consideration. See a photographer, get your photo taken. Ride a ride, know you'll get the picture.
and in that light, it's well worth it.
