Taking my sons to WDW in September. Just DH and I went last November and were finally able to see the PP interactive queue. Looking at a morning EMH day for our first MK day. Is the interactive queue open or do they have you use the FP line?

It was open when we went a couple weeks ago but workers were directing people through the FP line. We asked to go through the whole queue and they let us.

We only rode Peter Pan using FP on our last trip. Is the queue really that good, and why? Should we try hard to do it at rope drop next time, and is it less crazy than the rush to ride 7DMT?

It is awesome. We always Fast Pass but there a few weeks ago and saw a 30 minute and decided to go. So glad we did. DD loved the experience, will definitely wait it out again. Haven't tried at rope drop so can't speak to that.

I was there last Saturday and that queue was open at the tail end EMH. 40 min posted wait was about 20 min. The queue is cute but I wouldn't be sad about missing it.

I had never seen the interactive queue and was determined to see it last trip (just DH and I). Was glad we did, it was super cute. My boys will be 15 and 12 next trip, so they won't really care, but I know the 12 year old especially will really enjoy it, so I'm going to try to do it.

Our kids liked the queue even better than the ride itself! The first part of the line takes you past artwork based on the movie, and then it's like you're outside on the streets of London with Victorian windows and cityscape, then you wind into the Darling's home with Living room, bedrooms, etc... There are all sorts of extra magical things happening, like shadow plays and tinkerbell flying by to shower people in the line up.

After seeing these features, we are going to only ever rope drop this ride and not use fp's. Don't want to miss the magic!

Here's a video of what you might be missing!

And, yes, it is WAAAY less crazy than the rush to 7DMT. No comparison, really.
