Is paint the night coming to WDW for the 45th?

Parades cause a lot of congestion and it seems the majority of the people are trying to leave as soon as the parade is over. People start staking out their positions along the parade route over an hour before it starts, so they aren't spending money. We try to leave at least half an hour before a parade starts and based on transportation lines, we usually aren't the only ones. I will probably get "stoned" for this comment, but I would be perfectly happy if they did away with the daily parades altogether.

I know not everyone likes everything but parades are just part of Disney parks. They are here to stay and have been heard for decades. I can take or leave MSEP but for me Festival of fantasy is a must do every trip. MK is the only park that has a parade anymore anyways. There are people who don't like fireworks either.

I kind of hope WDW does do something big for the 50th just so they prove you wrong but I'm not that confident yet.

I am looking forward to the 50th....I am hoping for Disney to truly put its best foot forward that year!!!

Not a chance. And lets also remember that in the beginning nighttime spectaculars such as fireworks and parades were never often nightly just during the summer and holiday seasons.

Paint the night isn't coming to WDW. However I have heard MSEP maybe stopping this fall with no replacement.

I know the Travel Agent calendar is usually the most accurate (but still subject to change), and it is already on there for Jan/Feb. It would be hard to imagine Magic Kingdom without a nighttime parade. It would really make me sad as I love the night parade, even the much maligned MSEP.

I've heard some of the MSEP was told that the parade might be retiring this fall. It's just a rumor though. They could run festival of fantasy at night it has lights and I've heard it looks good at night.

Do you think MK having FoF is one of the bigger reasons why the park won't get PTN? I know some of the song snippets and street performers are pretty similar. I will say, though, I could get behind a night time FoF -- that could be beautiful!

No I don't think so because Disneyland has Soundsational which is a pretty good parade as well.

With an official announcement that PTN is closing 9/5, I just feel like this is too much of a coincidence. Again, unless there is a source that is saying PTN is not coming, I just feel like there is a strong chance that it may make the East coast move for the 45th anniversary.

I've seen several sources saying PTN is NOT coming. It's becoming a seasonal parade at DL. September 5th to October 1st is too quick of a turn around to have PTN ready for MK.

Also correct but rumors suggest MSEP will go away within the next year or two.
