Here is our plan, starting this Saturday:

Leave Tampa and arrive LAX around 10 am Pacific time. Rent car and go to Getty Museum for lunch and to browse until tired. Go north on the 605 to a Holiday Inn Express for the night (have reservations).

Sunday - drive to Marina del Ray and board bus for La City Tours 5 1/2 hour tour. After tour, drive to Anaheim and check-in to GC on Sunday evening. Dinner at Tony Roma's.

Monday - Breakfast at GC - Go to California Adventure - Lunch at Farmer's Market Cafe - Dinner at Storyteller's at GC.

Tuesday - Breakfast at GC - Go to DL - Lunch at Blue Bayou (PS) - Dinner at either StoryTellers or Mrs. Knotts' Chicken Restaurant.

Wednesday -Get up extremely early and drive to LAX and fly home.

Thursday - rest and laundry.

Friday - Busch Gardens Tampa!

Does this sound reasonable?

Hi nick! It all sounds fine to me, but the only puzzling part is you going "north on the 605" from the Getty museum. The 605 Freeway runs nowhere near that museum, did you mean the 405? That would make more sense. :)

Going to Busch Gardens on Friday may be ambitious after only one day of rest, but if you're not too tired then I'd go for it too! Have fun! :)

don't forget In-n-Out Burger! ;)

While this is very aggressive, this will be a nice trip to see some key Southern California points-of-interest. I assume that you are traveling without kids.

Mrs. Knott's is a great choice - not fancy by any means, but a true California Landmark (tasty too). If you are a coaster fan, you'll certainly whet your appetite for a return visit once you see GhostRider, which is the best woodie on the Left Coast.

If you are a baseball fan: The Seattle Mariners will be in Anaheim while you are there. They are on pace to come close to tie or set a Major League record for wins in a season. They could clinch the American League West division title then. Go M's!
:D

Have fun!

Thanks! yeah, I mean't the 405! Just saw the Mariners beat our Rays in St. Pete. The Rays reached 50 wins before the Mariners reached 100! Just adults on this trip.

If I recall you'll need a parking reservation for the Getty; do you have one? I know at their old site in Malibu they would not let you in without one. (haven't been to the new one yet!)

IMHO, I would skip Tony Romas and try the CDR at Knotts on Sunday night. Is there a Tony Roma's near you? Can you go there whenever you want to? There's only one CDR!! My 7 yr old is a very picky eater and it's the ONLY chicken on the planet he will eat.

Hope this helps!!
