Is one digital membership card enough for a family?

We are a family of 4 and have always used physical DVC member cards in the past. We have a trip coming up in early June. I have a MDE account but my husband has always used mine. He doesn't have his own and doesn't really want one (honestly we'd have to make him a new email address to create one because we share an email now). How important is it to have more than one card? We are taking extended family this trip and will have a total of 11 people in 3 DVC rooms. Would 2 cards be necessary to get dining discounts for our whole party? I appreciate any advice!

Technically, they can limit how many people get a dining discount. How often a CM asks for more than one card is probably dependent on the server

If your DH is not with you, then he won’t be able to get any discounts.

Now, one thing you can do…assuming it’s still there..is have your DH download the temporary card from the website to use when you have everyone at dinner so the Cam can see your DVC Y and then his card if they want more than one DVC owner to prove they are eligible.

IMO, the best is to set him up with his own DVC and MDE accounts so it is loaded for him, and then just continue to use your account.
