Does anyone know if Nemo is open during EE? Im trying to figure out my EE game plan. suggestions????

Yes it is, but not officially. We had more than one EE days, so we used one to ride the subs. But if you only have one EE, I'd not use it for Nemo. Go on a day that does not have EE. And be sure to be at the gates early so you can get in the line as soon as you enter the park.

Nemo is open for EE every EE day and I do believe it is an official EE ride. We were at DLR this week and had one EE day. We decided to use our EE day for Nemo because the crowds were so intense at rope drop on non-EE days. I vote use your EE for Nemo if you can get yourself to the gates early (30+ minutes). If you cannot get there early, you will be wasting your EE and should just go on a non-EE day and do the 2-3 hour wait. We got to the gates 40 minutes early and got on the first sub.

So Trey, it sounds like Nemo is propmtping lots of people to arrive earlier for EE and normal park opening (as you warned they would). Can you give us an idea as to what the lines were like 1/2 hour before opening (EE and non-EE days)? 15 minute before opening?

Yes. My advice is arrive 40 minutes early on EE days this summer and 60 minutes early on non-EE days. Some may say to themselves, "hey, why wait one hour at the gates before Nemo" and the reason is that if you do not you will see a 2-3 hour line once you get to Nemo.

Here are some pix about 20 minutes before EE Tuesday from the DL gate

and 10 minutes before EE

On a non-EE Wed we arrived 30 minutes early with no plans to try Nemo that day and I did not take a pic but it looked like the first pic above. We were about 30th in line while normally at 7:30AM we are one of the first in line.

Hmmm.... I'm going to Disneyland for the 1st time later this month so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but...

If the wait at the gate is so long wouldn't it just be easier to take the monorail straight into TL? That way you would save time walking into TL, right???

By the way, 1 quick question, what days are EE days?

I lined up at the monorail station at about 6:30 for the early entry day and was about third in line at the time - I found this to be the best bet as I didn't have to go by foot from the front gate to TL, but only had to leave the TL station and walk to the entrance to the ride. Ended up on the first sub out that morning.

omg, that is much more crowded than last year at this time!

Trey, were you able to tell when the first monorail guests arrived? In the past I've seen it so that the first monorail arrives at the tomorrowland station close around the same time the park opens; other times I've seen the monorail not leave until about the time the park opens.

We had three EE days and used one for Nemo. . .

We arrived 30 minutes before opening (and were the third family group in line at our turnstile/gate) - most people piled up on the right side - we stuck with the shorter left and it paid off. Both of the openings under the trtain meet up on the other side - so no use in being in the line closest to Nemo. We briskly walked/jogged to the line and were maybe 30th or so in line - we were able to be amongst the first people loaded - they loaded a couple at a time. One caveat - they did not open the line until 7:20 am - they held us further down in the line until they opened officially. So we only waited 20 minutes. . .I don't count the gate time since we would have tried to be there that early anyhow!

I agree with hydroguy - non-EE days are even more insane - I know one of the days we got in a CM commeneted there was a 2 hour wait - and the ropes had only dropped 5 minutes before!

When I went just last week they loaded us onto the monorail about 5 minutes before 7, and we left the station at the same time that they started letting guests in through the front gates, which was about 7:05

The day we rode it on EE - the only day I really paid attention to when the first monorail came in - it was around 7:10 - there was already at least an hour long line behond me. I guess it is hit or miss.

Really? I must have lucked out then I guess. We got to Nemo before guests entering from the front gates did, so I'm glad I took the gamble. A lot of people in line waiting for the monorail were second guessing whether it would be a good idea or not,

We went during the first week of Nemo and used our one EE on Nemo! I agree with Hydroguy, it's VERY important to be in the front of the lines at the gates. We got there 45 minutes before opening for EE. We were second at the front gates and got on the second sub going out.

If you come to the gates any later the lines will be LONG and by the time you get to Nemo your looking at a 2-3 hour wait.

Personally I wouldn't trust the monorail. I think that might be hit or miss. I've heard of some other people saying it came in a few minutes later, and that's all it takes for a HUGE line to form!

We didn't even attempt trying on a Non-EE day. It was just a crazy mob of people rushing over there.

Yep, I agree with Jen. The monorail is risky.

That is so cool. I was there that day as well waiting in line and did the NEMO subs that morning. I dont see myself in your pic though.

Is it confirmed that Nemo is officially an EE ride? If not I hope it is still unofficially one the end of October!

We'll have one EE day and will NOT being using it for Nemo. If EE begins at 7:00, what time would you suggest arriving at the gate? We were planning on getting there just before 7:00 until I saw those photos!

Does it take a while to actually get through the gate and into the park? Do they let anyone in prior to the EE time (7:00 in our case)? I guess my point is: does it help to get there any earlier than the time they begin letting people in? Sure, you'll be first in, but will the people who are just arriving get in without the extra waiting?

This will be our first DL visit and we are trying to figure it all out! Thanks!:flower3:

from what iove heard 30mins early is good and dont wait in car. get in line at gate try be first few ..couse it takes time to check you thought the gate. some may be there an hour early.but say your there 645 the line could already be 30mins to get in so 730 is when youd get in..at least i think of this

The lines at the gates move pretty fast but I would recommend getting to the gates and in line at least 20 minutes early. You will benefit from all of the rush to Nemo and have smaller lines in Fantasyland. My educated guess is if you arrive 20 minutes early you will be thru the gates within the first 5 minutes, but if you arrive only 10 minutes early it will take at least 10 minutes to get thru the gates.

For 7AM EE I have never seen them let anyone thru the gates before 7AM.
