Please help with a couple of Mardi Gras questions...

Does it cost anything to attend the Mardi Gras events?

And if the park is scheduled to close at 7pm (as listed on the Universal website), how long does it go on for?

Thank you! :)

Mardi Gras is included with your park admission. The parade starts at park close. The concert starts approx 30 mins after the park closes (the parade takes about that long). The concert lasts up to 2hrs, depending on the band's setlist.

Very cool! This is an unexpected surprise we're excited about!! Thank you. :goodvibes

Where can i find what dates the 'Mardi Gras' is on....is it held just on Saturdays during March or more frequently??????

Where are the concerts staged? Is it insanely crowded?

This is a nice little bonus for our trip. I'll have to familiarize myself with Smokey Robinson songs. (Secretly wishing we were there for Heart---watched their concert on HDNET over the weekend and they still got it. LLCool J would have been nice too)

The concerts are staged in the area between Jimmy Neutron and Twister and the crowds depend on the artist performing and the weather. Last year, it rained a lot in the beginning of the series so the crowds weren't too bad. Of course...I'm not going to stand in the rain to see anyone. :rolleyes1

Thanks. I didn't envision it inside Universal, I pictured it at CityWalk for whatever reason.

Checked out Smokey on itunes and definately have his tunes in my head from time to time.

Now is the Mardi Gras parade "family friendly"?

Yes, the parade is "Family friendly." There are even specific "Little Jesters" viewing spots for families with small children.
