Just trying to plan our dinners and I would love to try Le Cellier. Is this good for kids (4, 11, 12)? Another thought is the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Any suggestions about either?
I give it a thumbs-up for kids - waiting for a table alone is exciting for them...this past October I was with my son (now 3yrs old) and his cousins...6 and 3. They were excited by the waterfall and pathway behind the restaurant...and there was an EPCOT activity station in the back for them to create a craft and color before dinner.
While at dinner - the restaurant is dark and mysterious to them. They loved the tables (benches on one side for the kids) and the little activity books they received while dining.
The cheese soup is good and they all loved it. I obviously went for the steak - won't comment on the food too much here, but the dessert was a highlight for the kids too - something cool for them to enjoy after dinner...kept them entertained. There were also some mirrors where they saw reflections of themselves and that made them laugh.
So - no characters to pal around with, but relaxing and fun at the same time. It is also pretty loud so they didn't disturb anyone. If they get bored, take a short stroll through the different dining rooms - lots to see around there!
Our kids all loved it. It is the only restaurant that made all 4 of their lists as a must do when we return in August. Ages when we went last: 11, 10, 9, 5.
