Is it "wrong" to wear a birthday pin on more than one day?

I have Cinderella's Royal Table booked for the first day and then my birthday actually falls two days later. I was wondering if it is okay to wear the birthday pin on both days?

Thank you in advance. This will be the first time I've celebrated my birthday anywere, much less at Disney World, so I'm not sure what the polite thing is.

Oh boy, you've done it now! This is actually a topic that can get pretty heated, believe it or not. But I say do whatever makes you happy. I see no problem with celebrating how you want.

Whether or not is is okay is up to you. I do not believe that CMs check DOBs. Some feel strongly that you should only wear the button on your actual birthday and others will tell you to wear it for your entire stay. Go with what you are okay with.

Do what you feel comfortable with. We´ve just had this discussion here at home based on an earlier thread on the Dis.

My kids will be celebrating their birthdays during our next trip and will only wear their buttons on one day. DD´s actual birthday is on the day after we arrive so she will wear it then but DS´s real birthday is a couple of days before we arrive so he will choose one day which will be his "Disney birthday".

I wore mine for three days before my birthday and then on the day of. It's not like you get into the park for free or something so I don't know why people would find it "taboo." I got was a cupcake and a card from the charactes at Crystal Palace and lots of "Happy Birthday's!" from CM's but other than that, you don't get treated any differently than any other guest.

I say it's not wrong because I have read posts from others who celebrated their birthdays or their kids birthdays at WDW, when it was not actually on the day their birthday was to happen. Besides the Cast Members don't care so I say enjoy your birthday trip as much as you can and wear the pin as many days as you want.

My B-day is two days before our Disney trip and my dd's 18th is the week after we go home. Sooooo...we're planning a birthday vacation and my dd and I are going to proudly wear our birthday buttons every day of our vacation. Do you think Universal would mine?

When we checked in for our week-long stay, the Castmember at the Hotel presented my mother with her birthday button.
My mother loved it and was so surprised and actually missed it when she left it off one day by accident. She loved the "Happy Birthdays" given her by castmembers.
We celebrated her birthday all week with cakes, special surprises, which some may not approve.
But who cares....we were all celebrating the fact that she turned 80 and was in good health to make this special trip with me and my two sisters.

When I made our ADR's the CM asked if we were celebrating something special. She made a point to put a B-day notification on every ressie, then wished me an early happy birthday day and told me and my daughter to have a fantastic birthday week. Only at Disney.

Here is something else to keep in mind. WDW celebrates Halloween and Christmas before October 31st and December 25th, because they also have a lot of Mickey's Not So Scarry Halloween Party's and Mickey's Very Merry Christams Party's before those events are suppost to take place.

I was told on my last trip by the CM that at Disney if you are celebrating something you celebrate it all week. So I did. I didn't get anything extra just some Happy Birthdays from CMs which was great.

I wore mine all week, and so did my DS...DS actually has a collection of the different "Happy Birthday" pins from each park. Some of the CMS at the front gates have them. The one from Epcot is really neat, it has Happy Birthday in a bunch of different languages. Go for it....My feeling is, it's MY party and I'll wear my pin if I want to!

I've got a friend who's planning on wearing a birthday button all week during her trip, even though it's almost 6 months after/until her birthday. There's a good reason for this tho: she had a trip planned for the week of her last birthday but was involved in a horrible accident which forced her to postpone. She's been using this trip as motivation to heal up quickly. So I'm certainly not going to tell her she can't wear it if she really wants to! To her the whole week is her "birthday week".

We went last year from 9/15-9/22. My b-day is actually 9/18. I wore a button from the 16th to the 18th--I thought about wearing it longer, but it got a little tiresome after a while--I was amazed at all the "Happy Birthday"'s from CM's and I'm not one to call attention to myself--so I took it off after my actual birthday. But--if you want to wear it all week, go for it!!

I have gone to WDW the last three years on my birthday and personally I find it more fun / more special to just wear the button on my actual birthday, but that is just me. I did wear it to O'Hana's one year two days after my birthday because it was my birthday dinner, but I couldn't get a reservation on my actual birthday. I don't see anything wrong with wearing it all week though. Personal preference. Whatever you feel comfortable doing.

That being said, Since Disney doesn't check, they must not care, so why can this be a heated question here? Why would anyone care when the heck when someone wears a birthday button???

I agree if it's your birthday trip go for it like others have said your not getting the whole world just little perks through out your stay I am planning on were the anniversary pin the whole time I am in the WORLD

we wore our "magical moment" pins for the duration of our engagement trip, our "just married" pins for the duration of our honeymoon trip, and our "happy anniversary" pins for the duration of our anniversary trip.... if lovebirds can do it why not kids with birthdays!

How about wearing it one day in each park... rake in all the perks and magic you can for you birthday in each park and then let it rest.

My mom's birthday is Dec 30, so going *on* her actual birthday isn't really something we want to do. One year we went from Jan 1-7 to celebrate her birthday, and she got a birthday button on the boat to Epcot when the CM asked "who was celebrating a birthday" (as opposed to "who has a birthday today"). The CM told her to make sure to get one in every park - obviously implying that she'd be celebrating her birthday the entire trip, not just the day of her birthday.

Also, as someone mentioned before, if you tell the CM making your ADRs it's a trip for a birthday or anniversary, they put that notation on *every* ADR, not just one on the day of that event. That also implies that your Disney vacation is meant to celebrate whatever event the *whole* time, not just one day.
