I am surprising my DH and DS with a 3 day cruise for Christmas. My question is this: Should we bother booking any excursions at Nassau, and if so, which do you recommend? (DS is 9yrs old)
I am wondering if there will be enough time to enjoy an excursion and not feel rushed at the same time. This is not our first Disney cruise and we have been to this port before.... and because of that last experience, I was thinking of just kicking back and enjoying the day on the ship.... (if you know what I mean!) However, I have also booked the REAS package and now feel the need to utilize the 'pre-booking' perk that comes with it!! Basically... I NEED HELP!!
Thanks in advance!

Is this your first cruise on the Disney Cruise? If so, you might want to consider staying onboard and enjoying the ship. The 3 night goes by SO fast, and since you will be spending the day at CC on the 3rd day, the only day you have to just relax and enjoy the ship is the 2nd day (the day the ship docks in Nassau).

We have sailed on two 3 night cruises, and on both we just stayed on board.

Thanks for your reply... We have sailed with Disney before. We did the 7 day cruise on the Magic and loved it so much, we wanted to stowaway! That was the worst part.. leaving that beautiful ship!
Thanks for your advice regarding staying on the Wonder while in port... I am begining to think that might be the day to do the Spa Taster and just chill out. I am usually not good for anything much after a nice, relaxing massage!:hyper:

I would not book an excursion, we did a 3 day for our first cruise, and enjoyed staying on the ship that day, we did go ashore briefly to take pictures of the ship walk around the dock, and basically so that we could say that we had been to Nassau....
It just was nice the explore the ship, we had leisury lunch and enjoyed the pools.

We wound up in Nassau on a 7 day in September (hurricanes). We stayed on the ship!!! I'm really not a fan of Nassau, and the empty ship was too much of a temptation for me!
