Is it typical for parks to reach capacity during christmas week?

I know Disney is packed during christmas but do we need to worry about parks reaching capacity?

We always go at rope drop, leave for the afternoon and return in the evening. We stay offsite so we can't get early FPs. We hit the popular rides at rope drop and go for the evening FPs. It worked during spring break this year. Will it work during christmas?

No, it's rare for any park to reach full capacity anytime during the year.

You're only concern is that if you're going to the parks with single day tickets. Those are the first people that are denied access into the parks when it reaches phase 1 of 4 closures. So if you have a package, or adr, or AP's, then you'll be good

The only one to have concern with is MK on Christmas Day itself. That will probably hit capacity, but if you're there before roughly 10am, you'll be fine. The other parks, and the other days around Christmas, you won't have any problem getting in. It'll be crowded, but you'll get in.

First there is no reason to be concerned. Even when it starts to phase close, it never lasts the whole day and you just need to wait it out for when you can get in. And as mentioned, it's only been 1 day ticket holders that have had problems in recent memory and they just needed to wait a couple hours and then got it... Also disney was tricky this year, even opening up some backstage spots to get more capacity and elbow room.

4th of july, xmas day and new years eve are the 3 days in my mind that if your coming on a 1 day ticket could cause you to wait around to get in or you should be rope dropping if it's important to be there. everyone else should be ok and so far have been ok.

Let's not forget MK is larger now with bypass, larger hub and new fantasy land adding more capacity to the park.

The larger concern may be parking again at MK after you leave since parking usually fills up before the park.

We were there this past Christmas (MK on Christmas Day) and while the crowds were busier, there were no closures.
