Is it true that you can request a highchair from housekeeping?

I thought I heard somewhere that this might be possible. We will be staying at BWV and BCV next week. Has anyone done this? What are the highchairs like? Has anyone requested and been told they are out? I'm trying to decide if I need to lug the booster seat down for DS (13 months). I can fit in the suitcase - but if I don't need it, then I only need 1 suitcase for DS and myself. Otherwise, I'll need to take 2.

Thanks!!

There's always been one in our units usually the master bedroom closet. They look like those standard wood ones you see in restaurants.

There is usually one in every unit. If there isn't, just call housekeeping and they'll bring you one.

Yay! Wasn't thinking about this, but I'm happy to see it! Do they have them in the studio as well as the 1BR? I'll be in a studio for 5 days before DH joins us and then we'll move into the 1BR.

Yes - again, look in the closet. If there isn't one there, call housekeeping and you'll be set. You'll also find a portable crib in the closet (similar to a Pac 'n Play) as well as an ironing Board & iron and a vacuum cleaner. With all that stuff in there, there's not a lot of room to hang clothes, LOL.

Our last two trips we had to request it from housekeeping. I much preferred that over having it already in the room because the ones that were brought to us were spotless, whereas the ones in the closet were, ummm... not ;) I was kind of hoping it was a policy change to not keep them in the rooms anymore. :goodvibes

Thanks! This is great. I guess I've just never really looked at what is in the closet (didn't need any of those things before, but with a toddler, now I may be using everything but the iron).

As mentioned they are always in the units that have kitchens. As for the studios, some have them some do not. If you don't have one, just call and they'll bring one up. There is actually a list, usually in the kitchen area that will have things on it that you can call and get brought up. (Like bed rails, blankets, blender). Then there is a list of things you can pay extra for (like more towels, more cleanings, more coffee & soap). The high chairs are the same as the restruarants (wooden with mickey cut out on the back). The only thing I know you can't get is an infant tub. We checked on that the last time and bought a blow up one at walmart. This was when we took our 3 month old grand daughter last summer. You can even request a real crib -- based on availability and first come first serve basis after you get your room assignment. (We got a real crib at OWK and BCV last August).

I figured on the Pac 'n Play, but wasn't sure about the high chair. Ahhhhh, this will make life so much easier.
