Happy Sunday afternoon everyone! Sunday's are my favorite day of the week No major things that I have to do. Fun cooking a nice Sunday dinner for the family and we have FOOTBALL! Woot Woot.

Hello AKLers,
I will be at AKL in 10 days for the great girls trip!
Me and my 4 sisters in law (who are really sisters) and our daughters...plus baby boy 7 months who is our boy crasher, but he's still nursing so gotta come!
We are SO excited. For everyone except me and DD, this is a first ever on property visit! I am so happy for them all I could burst.

So what should we expect from AKL? We have standard rooms booked-no savannah view, couldn't swing it. But we're so happy to be there we don't care!
Best breakfast on property?
What should reasonable expectations be for bus wait times?

I travel with many medications that need refrigeration-should I request a fridge now?
Good place to get a drink at night with the ladies once the kids have gone to bed?
Any and all tips are welcome!

Thanks for asking I am doing well, still not able to sit up, foot has to be above heart.... no walking... I can stand only to brush teeth...

You'll love it! I took DD there last Feb. and fell in love. There will be a refrigerator in your room, so no worries there . DD and I usually got something light at the food court, but Boma smelled delicious if you have time one morning. I'm not sure if an adr is necessary for breakfast or not.

We never waited too long for a bus - usually about 10 minutes although it can sometimes be longer.

My tip is to make sure you schedule some down time at the resort. Its so beautiful with lots of little spots - two hot tubs (one secluded and very pretty), lots of animal viewing spots, lots of wonderful cm's from various countries (be sure to talk with them about their homes), nice little tables outside the food court, etc. There are also many scheduled activities you should check out.

I have never visited the bar, but I plan to in two weeks . Have a great trip!

Hello all!

I am in the very early planning stages for a trip in may 2013. I have never stayed at AKL before and dbf and I are soo excited!

We are thinking of trying the villas concierge level. We have never stayed concierge level but have stayed in villas. The main reason for the cl is to do the sunrise safari but I also really do think we'd take advantage of all the food and drink offerings.

Any pointers, tips, must do's please let me know!

My first question is: Are you DVC owners? If so, good luck booking the CL villas!! You will love it!

If not, the chances of getting a CL villa are slim to none. I don't know the number of available CL villas (someone on here will) but there are not very many and are not ever available for non-DVC owners to my knowledge.
