We have only stayed at the ASMUFS and the Beach Club because we are usually 5 but this is a trip for two and we figured AKL was somewhere we always wanted to stay ! I am so excited to go ... Hope it is as wonderful as everyone says ! Booked Boma for breakfast the day we leave cant wait to go !

What type of room do you have? I'm sure you will enjoy it, the place is just magical. There are so many wonderful spots around the resort. Are you planning on the Wanyama Safari? Since it's just two of you this might be a great chance for you to try such a great experience.

So I've been more than a little bummed. And I've been bummed because it;s been 7 yrs since I've had no WDW trip on the horizon and it's making me depressed I'm trying to justify going down for a couple of nights, staying on points (I've rented out most of them, but have 89 left) at AKLV, and just chillin'.. No parks..Even that I'm not sure about...But we have 4 nights boarding for Beauty left over all ready paid for....I guess we could stay home and look at each other for 4 days

Why the nervousness? It's an amazing amazing place. Boma is so scrumptuous. Try Jiko if you can, it's on the expensive side, but it has fast become one of our favorites. Alison's right, if you can do the Wanyma Safari it is amazing.

I'm sorry for your loss. It is never easy to lose a loved one.

89 points leaves you plenty to play with. If the only thing you need to pay for is the airline tickets I'd say go for it.

We are flying back late tomorrow and have to work the rest of the week.

Then we are off Monday after new years..

At least you are coming back to a short work week. Though in the past, (before I had it all off as holiday time), I used to like working the week between Christmas & New Years because it was so empty at work, I could get a lot done.

As property owners/managers, unless all our properties are occupied and in complete working order we are always at work. Since we have three vacant apartments, we are back to work.

Good job on coming out of the casino with extra! We left Vegas having enjoyed about 18 $15 waters, sodas & glasses of wine!

Do you end up doing any updating to the apartments yourself?

Yes, I was surprised yesterday leaving the casino. I probably head down 3-4 times a year for a day and to be honest, I really hadn't had much luck at the casino this year. So to come out a head a little was surprising.

We were thinking of the safari but only have three days there the two travel days are Thursday ( which is a school day for us so we cant leave till after work at 2:20 our flight is at 5:45 ) and on Monday we have a 2:30 flight home .. This was just a weekend trip for us to get away with no kids !!

I dont really know why I am nervous about AKL .. I just did BC and was nervous there too but I loved it !! I am just nervous the first time I try new things I am sure I will love the AKL !!

We got the free DDP so we are doing dinner in Epcot twice once at Teppan Edo and one in San Angel Inn ... the other dinner is one we always do even with out the kids we eat at Crystal Palace I know it sounds weird but we love it there !! .. with a breakfast at Boma the day we leave !

Just hope for good weather for us to leave NY and get home from FL and a good weekend we really need this time for us !!

Well, we're thinking about pulling the trigger on an AKLV no park trip...We can go for 5 nights, and still have a few points left over to rent out..
Beauty's boarding is all paid for.
I have enough air miles to fly 1 way for free Scott doesnt have any
We most likely wont be tempted to do TS meals, as we have no current TIW card.
And inside of taking a cab to the airport like we always do, we can do what Scott did in October....Take public transportation...It cost $5..Much better than a cab for $40..And it took less than an hr.
So it's technically doable.

we are back home... we had a wonderful Christmas with my Dad and Step Mom... It had been 27 years since I spent Christmas with my Dad.

It was so wonderful to sleep in my own bed last night. You would think with all the travel I do that it would be OK, but I truly miss my bed when I am away.
