We have an ADR for dinner but also wanted to do a little resort hopping to see the Christmas decorations. Will we be ok if we do not claim our room until after dinner (probably around 8pm?)

Absolutely! Just check in, you'll receive the room keys, they will give you a map showing the general vicinity of your room (also the monthly activities guide Pam posted about), and you can be on your way!

If you are using DME, your luggage takes up to 4 hours to arrive in your room anyway. If not using Magical Express, Bell Services can store anything you need stored.

You should receive a call or text with your room number once it is ready. Otherwise, you can stop by the front desk when you return from your resort hopping and they will give you your room number.

In the evenings at Jambo House they let the kids pick musical instruments from the store (no charge but they return them when the activity is over), and they all play music together and do a 'train'. (I don't remember if it's all around the lobby or just in the store) The kids looked like they were having so much fun!

That's called the "Primal Parade" and it takes place somewhere around 8pm nightly. Even though I don't have little kids any more, I love watching this! The kids and CMs march all around the lobby and it's such a happy time!

There's a campfire out on the overlook (Uzima Savannah Overlook at Jambo; Pembe Savanna Overlook at Kidani) nightly (around 7).

You will receive an Activies sheet at check-in which will have info for both resorts.

Nope don't think I every got a thank you. Just complaints. But I am used to it.

We have never taken a Disney cruise, we have talked about it but never made the decision to do it. We love Celebrity, but have been looking forward to a river cruise in China.
