I'm aware it's the longest ride but does it really take 20 minutes? I've stayed at Pop Century, which is just as far from MK, and I don't remember that ride taking 20 minutes.

Yep, we diligently timed it since we went into the vacation knowing the chief complaint were the buses, and it took 18 minutes to MK from AKL.

I would gladly be on an 18 minute ride to akl right now instead of a 30 minute train ride to my stop.

Good morning, Jamborinis and Kidanites!

Bob had a wonderful check-up with our PCP on Wednesday. He has gained weight and strength and his blood work all came back in good shape. He surprised us all by getting himself up and down from the exam table with ease!!

The follow-up with the eye doctor was not as good, unfortunately. The scar on his cornea (from an abrasion gotten sometime during his hospitalizations) is healed as much as it can and the vision in that eye is only 20/70. He has a cataract on that eye so we have opted for cataract surgery within the next two months in the hopes that it will increase his visual acuity a bit. The only other option would be for a corneal transplant and that is just not something that appeals to us at all right now. No pixie dust needed here as it is much more required other places! To quote another very good Disney friend: "It is all good!"

Ellen that is great news. My mother in law is having a hard time now that she is home and can't do what she use to do. She still has limited mobility in her left hand and is still using the walker for balance making her very depressed.

Just 4 more days til our first AKL stay. So excited!

Wishing I was looking at that beautiful savanna filled with amazing animals instead of my backyard that is half filled with snow!

I liked Boma for breakfast..I have done it a couple of times. They do have some food that just isn't my taste for breakfast (porridge,etc) but they have eggs cooked to order and such. I liked it enough to go back.

I even got a plate of Zebra Domes for breakfast from Albert the Awesome!!

No biggie. I don't mind the bus rides. I actually like the buses, makes me feel like I'm in Disney. I think I'm in the minority here.

i have noticed that the buses seem to take longer at AKL.. I have a car and I have taken it to the parks BUT!!!! I usually get lost trying to get back to the hotels and driving around Backstage Lane at 10pm at night looking for World Drive added more time than if I had taken the bus!! LOL

I will be taking the bus this coming trip just because I forgot how much a pain it was to take the monorail and tram back to the parking lot and looking for my car!

Boma is scrumptuous, there are so many options everyone should leave happy.

No biggie. I don't mind the bus rides. I actually like the buses, makes me feel like I'm in Disney. I think I'm in the minority here.

I agree, have no problem with the buses, except when they have the airconditioning on and you freeze to death while longing for the humidity outside! And I'm sure I'd get lost if I ever tried to use a car.

One time when I went to Typhoon Lagoon we got caught in a rainstorm. It downpoured and we were soaked to the bone, our 'dry' clothes got drenched too. It had to be at least 90 outside but when we stepped on that bus, we were ice cold! I was shivering the whole ride back to Pop.
