Hi folksies, I've just grabbed on to the tail end of this thread and I'm holding on for dear life.

I'm going to be staying at AKL for the first time ever, 2br Kidani March 25-30. It's going to be me and my family (DH, DD7, DD3/4 (she'll be having her 4th birthday while we're there, she's not 3/4 of a year old)) and my sister's family (her DH and DD5).

Of course I have a lot of questions.

In a 2-br will we have 2 coffee makers? And if so, what kind of filters will we need to bring to keep ourselves swimming in coffee?

I saw people mentioning the wego-er-something for groceries, do they deliver wine? I noticed that green grocer doesn't seem to sell wine.

Coming from colder climates, what do you think the probability of swimming in late March would be?

Is it possible to get princess poisoning? With 3 little girls, there is the possibility of ODing on pink.

Ok, that's it for now, I'm sure I'll pester you all later.

I will try to help, as others here are experts:)
Coffee Makers in 2 bdr's.....if its a lock off, meaning the 2nd bdr is a studio, there will be a coffee maker in there...studio is the one queen with sofa sleeper...
Filters....I brought my regular ones from home for Mr Coffee...

wegoshop.com.....yes for the wine! Red, white...;) I think Garden Grocer does, you have to add it on, or at least it was that way years ago.

I have seen folks swim in Disney pools at all kinds of climates!!! I would give you a 100% possibility of swimming in late March, but I am not or am related to a meteorologist:rolleyes1

Ok Princess Poisoning....this is something not to take lightly....first signs...you will be in MK all day....luckily in a 2 bdr you will have PLENTY of space for all things Princess with 3 girls.....luckily, no Princess balloons are allowed on property...Being at AKV though, is a nice escape really from PINK!:laughing:
Have fun!princess:princess:princess:

...it is with a heavy heart that I announce that a dear colleague of mine has just lost her 20-y-o DS yesterday when she was unsuccessful at waking him...needless-to-say, she has suffered much heartache in her life. Her first DH, who was her [now] deceased DS's dad, passed years ago, from a heart attack, when her DH was a young child. In later years, she remarried and her 2nd DH succumbed to MS.....now this....:sad1:

Eeek...five days from right now my mom and I will be back "home" at AKV-Kidani. We were there in July and so ready to be back!

That's wonderful news!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Good morning, Jamborinis and Kidanites! :sunny:

Mother Nature is playing games with us! It was 70 degrees here yesterday; all the downtown eateries had their outdoor seating full to the brim and windows and doors were flung wide. I know she is teasing us, but I don't want it to end. (I even ordered a snowblower in hopes that it thwarts any major Nor'easters with record-dumping snows!)

I know, it's bizarre! One day it feels like Spring, the very next I've got three blankets on the bed!

Congratulations on your trip! Ok, I'm not 100% on this since I haven't been there since the change over, but we've already talked on this and I'm pretty sure all the coffee machines at AKL have changed to the Cuisinarts that use pods. I don't drink coffee so it doesn't stick in my mind like it would if it's something I personally am interested in, but I'm pretty sure that's correct.

I think it'll definitely be warm enough to swim in late March, especially since you're used to it being much colder. And they heat the pools so you'll be set.

Ha! Pink is my favorite color! Since we never do the meet and greets we never get over princessed, but I'm sure it could be a problem :laughing:

Oh my, that is terrible news. All you can do is be there for her. I can't imagine how she is feeling. :hug:

So sorry to read this....how sad and tragic one person must live through this, 2 husbands, and her son? My heart breaks reading this....makes you take a breath, sigh, and realize how valueable life really is, and moments....in one instanst everything can change.
So many of us already know that here, and have experienced it.
:hug::flower3: to your colleague.......

Good morning, Jamborinis and Kidanites.

Kim - It is so sad to read of this. As Diana said... unimaginable to lose two husbands and a son all in one lifetime. I think the best you can do is offer your shoulder and the acknowledgement that you cannot even begin to comprehend what she is going through. :hug:

Good Morning Everyone!

Does anyone have any views from 5th floor Savannah View? I know a few have been shared, I'm just trying to figure if we'll get a good view of the animals. I think people have said they have, but I want to ask again. Thanks!

Hi everyone,

My OH and I are finally coming back to WDW. 14 nights at Jambo house:cool1: our last trip was 2008 so this has even a long time coming

:goodvibes I also wish to share "partially" good news :
many of you have been sending thoughts for my Mom ; THANKYOU !!
I can now tell you that she could today "move" ... just A LITTLE ... one finger of her right hand ...
I know it will be a long way - and she might never again be able to thoroughly use her hands ... BUT TO US THIS IS A WONDERFUL STEP forward .

Keeping you all in my heart , laura :grouphug:

Hello AKL Diser's! I called the lodge today to ask about the new Coffeemakers. They explained they are made by Cuisinart, and are the pod-type. Can any of you confirm using these during your recent stay? The pods: was it Maxwell House, and did it brew okay? Thank you for your replies.
