So we are going to AKL and were wondering if there was a quick place to get snacks / quick dining service . I know at the BC we had a store that had lots of quick service stuff as well as snacks ...

Any and all advice is good .. Also where to refill and get our mugs ? Thanks <3 Cant wait less then 20 days

The Mara is the name of the quick service restaurant at AKL-Jambo (by Uzima pool). You can purchase and refill your mugs there; also at the store in Kidani. The Mara has a good variety of grab-and-go or order-off-the-menu (breakfast, lunch & dinner). They are open 6:30am until 10 or 11pm. (depending on season)

Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a great holiday. I had a great weekend visiting with my sisters, their families and my uncle's family.


Is everyone off this week or are you working? I'm off all week but don't have any specific plans. I went to the casino today with one of my sisters and for once, came out up a little bit.

We are flying back late tomorrow and have to work the rest of the week.

Thanks again for the answer I am so nervous about a new resort !! We have only stayed at the ASMUFS and the Beach Club because we are usually 5 but this is a trip for two and we figured AKL was somewhere we always wanted to stay ! I am so excited to go ... Hope it is as wonderful as everyone says ! Booked Boma for breakfast the day we leave cant wait to go !

As property owners/managers, unless all our properties are occupied and in complete working order we are always at work. Since we have three vacant apartments, we are back to work.

Good job on coming out of the casino with extra! We left Vegas having enjoyed about 18 $15 waters, sodas & glasses of wine!

Don't be nervous. Trust us when we say: AKL is an awesome resort and you WILL have a wonderful stay!

Take the time after you check-in to walk the resort and get acquainted with it. The pool and restaurants are down on the 1st floor; lobby is on the 3rd. From the lobby, take the stairs out the back to Arusha rock. Talk to the Cast Members who can tell you about their culture and the animals.

Read the Activities Board -- there's one right next to the Bell Services stand in the lobby; also one downstairs by Boma.
