and now suddenly I have a craving for bacon!!! :rotfl:

Anyone hitting the stores today?!

Our Blu Ray player ceased to function yesterday, so we took the one from the Family room and put it in the Living room to watch a movie. We hit the Best Buy around 11AM, picked up a $79 player and only waited in line about the same as you might wait on a regular Saturday.

The line wasn't anything even like Costco on a regular day! :rotfl2:

I have an appointment with someone cleaning the air ducts at one of my rental properties and then we'll watch the second half of Harry Potter! :happytv:

Thanks to everyone who has replied to my post about a 1 bedroom vs. a studio at AKL. The comments about the studios being small were very helpful. It helps to hear different opinions.
My husband hated staying in a standard sized hotel room last year at GF (I thought it was okay but he felt cramped).

I was confused why the Dis travel agent couldn't just apply the pin to my current reservation (which is a 1-bedroom with a savannah view) and I wondered if anyone had any insight into that. I might have better luck if I try to book a 1 bedroom villa with savannah view for Kidani house instead of Jambo House. I like both buildings and I think we will be spending some time at Jambo house at the restaurants, anyway.
Thanks again for the advice!
Hope you're all enjoying the holiday weekend.
I read all the posts about shopping and...I did all my shopping from home.

With pins (and any Disney discount for that matter) there are a limited number of rooms at resorts that can be booked under that discount. It could be that there was a 1-br at Jambo under your pin code, but someone else booked it or it could be there never were any of that type of room in the discount inventory. I would try to see if you can get the discounted 1-br at Kidani, you can easily get back and forth between the two buildings.

Good luck!

Good morning, Jamborinis and Kidanites! :sunny:

I still don't feel 100% but all my Christmas shopping is done with the exception of Kathrin's big gift. I have to teach a class this morning (should be interesting without my voice completely back) and hope to stop into one or two of our antique shops downtown before I come back home. Hoping to find the perfect thing there and it is Shop Local Small Business Day,so I can boost our economy a bit too.

Good Morning!

Elin, sorry that you still aren't feeling well! Take care of yourself!

Have fun shopping. Hope you find some good bargains. :goodvibes

I got no shopping done. :( Just not enough energy left after teaching my hour class. We did have a bit of excitement, however. Look who came to visit!

Our DVD Players must have been related....
Ours died, and we ended up buying a new one on Friday.

We were in Target.... Looking at players.... David looks on his phone at CNET.com to look at the reviews of the players, we find one there that is highly rated.... and it is marked down from 199 to 161.... Well I scan the barcode with my phone and it tells me that Amazon has it on sale for 119.00 with free shipping...

So I felt like we were techno geeks, right there in the store... Power to the smartphones.

Good for you Brandi, being tecno geeks with the smartphone! We needed ours sort of ASAP because we took the unit for our 3D TV in the family room and hooked it up in the living room, but (or the disc) had problems and we couldn't hear everything right. So we bought the $79 one instead of the $39 one and we have had no problems for the last two days of movie watching. Tomorrow is Pirates 4!
