Is it true? Free cups of ice water at parks?

Yes, and if there is a line, I've been told by CMs that there is no need to wait, just go up to the counter and ask. (I'd verify with each restaurant first, though, this was at CHH).

I brought lemonade packets to add to the water. They were lightweight and compact.

I've had some (non-Disney) places charge me 25 cents for water, even when purchasing other items at the establishment. I guess it's to cover the cost of the cup, lid, and straw.

you are NOT allowed to cut in line for free ice water.(that you are going to add your lemonade packet to, while I wait in line.) you must get in line.
now, dont get me wrong.. I have no problem with your lemonade packet.. I have a problem with you thinking you will be cutting in line ahead of me becuase of it. I am paying money.. you are not.. wait behind me

I've never once been charged at any establishment (Disney or non-Disney) when asking for ice water. I'm not sure why people are surprised you can get free water at Disney.

At both our Federal Building and local hospital they charge a quarter for the water. I work at the Cleveland Justice center have to pay a quarter for my cup of water.

I think in the really hot times some of the counter service restaurants have prepared a lot of ice water ahead of time. I know I have been told I didn't have to wait before. I usually wait anyway.

I agree I have seen that at both Casey's and Pinocchio's where they have trays of cold water off to the side and they can just pull from that.

Some restaurants have a cash register and then you advance to another section to wait on food. Would you just walk up to the food section or go through the line at the register? I can't remember where they hand you a cup. Maybe that is at the register.
