Is it too soon to talk about Christmas?

I know the Christmas decorations go up shortly after Halloween, but when has the Christmas entertainment started in past years? I'm specifically interested in the carolers and Christmas music in the hotel lobbies, etc... My dad really loved wandering Buena Vista Street and listening to the carolers at Christmas when we went about 6 years ago. We want to take him again but are wondering if any of that might be up and going by November 11th or so. We have limited dates we are able to go and that seems the best time for us. We are hoping to stay at the Grand Californian for the first time but the cost makes me whoozy as it gets closer to Christmas. But I know my dad would just love to sit in that lobby and enjoy the fire and the Christmas music! Thanks for your help!

It is never to early to talk Christmas!

Usually the holiday season officially kicks off on Nov. 5/6 so you should be fine to see all of it if you visit after that!

You can also hang out in the GCH lobby without being a guest. We always stop in there for a drink/treat and listen to the carolers. I'm too cheap to pay GCH prices so this is my compromise with myself. Although, man it's beautiful that time of year...

We do know that Haunted Mansion Holiday is confirmed which made me ecstatic. I love that theme so, so much.

Because I'm a crazy person, I looked at Disney Parks IG account and it was July 24 last year that they started giving sneak peeks at holiday merch.

We just booked plane tickets (refundable) for Christmas, Dec 5th. We went 3 times in two years when my daughter was 4-6. She is now 12 and so excited to go back!

Yesterday the Disneyland military salute rates opened, so I booked my extended family in GC for dec 5th-10th . Although we scored a 40% discount, I am still breathless on the costs ! Yowza. I am anxious to really start planning !

The calendar for tickets (not onsite hotel packages) only shows available dates up to Thursday Nov 4th so it’s a good bet Christmas decorations will start going up on Friday Nov 5th. May also indicate the new AP/membership program won’t start until at least the new year as they’ll want to maximise Christmas revenue by selling day/multi day tickets throughout the Christmas season.

If you’ve booked offsite during Christmas, then I’d be sitting down when they release those ticket prices . . . .

Well boooo. Only thing I saw about Disneyland was about the HM gingerbread house (which is very cool looking!). Did I miss where they announced Disneyland stuff?

I was disappointed at the lack of Disneyland info! LOVE the Haunted Mnasion, but wanted seasonal food, merchandise, all the fun stuff!

Same, I only saw info about the Haunted Mansion gingerbread house. Even the merch preview had stuff specific to WDW like the spirit jersey, but I imagine we'll get similar items. I didn't see anything about food/snacks yet- did anyone else?

I'm most worried we won't bet the xmas parade but Mice Chat seems convinced Disneyland will get parades back before WDW so

Fireworks seem like a done deal. Haunted Mansion Holiday is a go which likely means it's a small world is. So I guess the main worry is the parade? Maybe the castle lights?

I'm doubtful we'll see the holiday World of Color return- last I heard there was rumors it was getting more repairs again?
