Is it too much food???

Hi! i am thinking about doing hoop dee doo at 4pm and then the desert party at 7:45pm. is this too much food? Will I regret spending the money on both. We will only be there for one full day so We can't do one on one day and the other on another. TIA!!!

We ate dinner at 4:30 and then went to the dessert party. I was still full from dinner and really wasn't able to indulge as much as I would have liked to at the dessert party, However, other people in my party, seemed to eat well at the dessert party. I guess it depends on the individual. As for me, it was too much too close together.

I think it is way too much food.
HDDR is All You Care to Eat and it is good "down home" cooking.

I've been to HDDR three times and haven't been hungry for anything to eat until the next morning. It's a lot of food and very filling. For us, the dessert party would be money spent for nothing. YMMV, though.

Skip the dessert party. Besides, at HDDR, you get a huge delicious strawberry shortcake for dessert! Being all you can eat, doesn't mean you have to eat all you can. It's still a meal like any other, but its hearty. Can't imagine wanting anything to eat till breakfast afterwards!

Definitely too much food. HDD has a yummy strawberry shortcake dessert that I would prefer over the options at a dessert party anyway.

Personally if I was there only 1 day I wouldn't want to take that much time out to do HDD.

The dinner show is a big time sink, with having to go - whenever it is in the forest, wilderness, whatever - and then getting back, and the show itself,
i think it'd be a clear skip. For the travel time, you could probably eat a TS meal inside the park.

Also, the will the dessert party me a bigger time sink than its worth? IDK, but
i can find a decent fireworks spot about 15 til. With the new hub, there's a lot of viewing available.
