Application are still being accepted, but do you guys think that at this point it might be a little later in the game? I was intending to apply super early on for the spring one next year, but my schooling situations and things changed so I would be available to go in the fall! have you guys heard rumors about positions or roles being all taken up or anything? I just wanted some advice :) thank you all so much!

Nope not too late at all! You may not get the earliest arrival date but you'll still be advantage. I personally haven't heard anything about roles being filled up but recruiting is very tight lipped about how many people get accepted every year so I doubt anyone knows for sure.

it's not too late, applications haven't been up TOO long, we're probably halfway through. now my advice is DO NOT APPLY FOR ANY ROLE YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DO JUST TO GET IN. if you do not want custodial DO NOT apply for it, same goes to quick service and lifegaurding. it will impact your experience and could leave a sour taste in your mouth

Application period is way passed the halfway mark. This season it seems like everything is on a compressed timeline. According to the DCP Blog, apps will be accepted until "late march" which suggests one or two weeks left. So if I were OP I'd apply ASAP.

Actually, I read that apps close at the end of March, probably a week or so after the last character audition (which I believe is March 23). I think someone in one of the facebook groups linked to a blog post of some sort from Disney and they said the plan is to close apps by the end of March. So, if that's the case, we're much farther than halfway through since apps have been up since Feb 8.

i find that so surprising this time. they opened apps almost a month later than i applied this time last year, i believe they closed in april too! maybe it's grown so out of control they made the time frame smaller. they get more and more apps every year now

you are right.

they were constricted by their school presentations.

they did open the app later this time, but it was really around the same time that they would start the school presentations. and they only really started up with the school presentations after arrivals were over. That is why people who applied early on would say that they waited a long time to hear back than those who applied later. Recruiting was busy with arrivals and really didn't start looking at apps/interviews until they were done or close to it.

they couldn't close the app before they had the last school presentation because those students needed to be able to apply.

last semester, the last school presentation was at the end of october. they closed the app on November 2.

last Spring, the last school presentations went into early April. so they definately did keep it open until then.

no school presentations means that they have a lot more flexibility. Really the only thing that is forcing them to keep it open is the auditions. Some may go to that w/o applying and interviewing. I bet it won't be long after the last audition that they shut it down. My guess would be sometime during the week of the 25 - 29.
