Is it too early to hang a fall wreath on the door?

I love to decorate for the seasons and we have just finished the landscaping on our new home. I have a beautiful fall wreath that I would like to hang, is it too early? I have just finished planting mums and the wreath on the door would look great. I just don't want my neighbors to think I'm nuts, lol. By the way I live in Texas and it is 94 today. So what do you think, and when do you decorate your home for fall?

I have a gorgeous fall wreath that I use every year, but I can't bring myself to hang it until around Sept 1st. Considering that's only about a week away.... :flower:

I usually put mine out the first week of September.

Is it as hot in your part of Texas as in mine?

it would be too early for me, but i love fall too!

I just painted my toe nails orange and black. I tried to convince my husband it's close enough to Halloween... he didn't buy it. Oh well. I just want it to cool down around here. That's the closest we get to Fall. :flower:

Just wait until September. To me, that is the start of the fall season even though it isn't officially fall.

Do it after Labor Day...at least the city pools will be closed by then. Yesterday at 8 pm it was 100 degrees outside. I decorate for fall on the first weekend after Sept. 15th, then add orange and black touches in early October.

I am always anxious to decorate for Christmas in October. So, I would say, sure hang it up. It is still warm here, but sooner or later.. my mom is going to hang up everything fall-like and bake Jewish Apple Cake! Yummy!

Fall is my favorite time of year and I do push it. But then again, I listen to Christmas music all year long. :goodvibes I wonder what fall will be like out here? I'll bet if I blink, I'll miss it. :guilty:

Do it when it makes you happy! Really, it is no big deal. Life is too short to worry about conventions on small things like this that hurt no one, but make you feel good.

I try to wait until mid September before putting up fall stuff. But do what you want!

I never "look down" on people for decorating their homes at differant times than I do, except when they have Christmas stuff still up at Easter...

You've got to be kidding me! ;) My fall wreath is still on my door from last fall. I never changed it. :rotfl:

Go for it, be a rebel...live on the edge :rotfl:

Oh it doesn't matter..do whatever makes you happy! You'll blink and fall and will be here! :earsgirl:

If you want to put it up, put it up. If someone is offended that its up too early, oh well.

Certainly not worried someone might be offended, this was just a post asking when others start to decorate for fall. We have a new home, every house on our street is only 8 months at the oldest so noone has lived here during the fall months. I'm just a little anxious to decorate. Not a big deal, just curious what others do. :)

I usually start putting it out after Labor Day.
