Is it still possible to ship items TO a Disney World Resort?

Hello all!

I'm going to be at Disney World for the first time on February this year. I'm staying at Pop Century Resort, and I have a few doubts about having items shipped from stores (e.g. Amazon or some other online store) to the hotel for me to pick up while I'm there.

While I was researching the topic, I found various useful threads right here on the forum, but they were all a bit old, so I'm not sure the information is still valid. According to the threads I read, it is possible to have items shipped to Disney resorts (thought some recommend not using UPS for it).

However, I decided to ask Disney directly about it to make sure they would hold the package for me if it got there a bit early (since you can never accurately predict that), and their answer really got me stumped.

First, they said they couldn't help me with my issue, but also that if my package was late and I had left the hotel already, I would have to call the front desk and cheek for it or check with the vendor if the package had been received and signed for or not. I responded explaining that I had not yet shipped anything yet, but merely wanted to know if they accept packages for guests. Then they answered back saying that they don't receive, track or return packages from outside for guests!

So I'm a little confused now (I mean, first they told me what to do if my package is late, then they told me they don't accept or return packages), and thought I'd ask people here if anyone has any recent experience with having items shipped from stores to Disney Resorts. Can anyone share info on this, please? Maybe packages were accepted before and now they aren't anymore?

I was really excited about having items shipped from a store to me, since they don't ship to where I live, but oh well... I'll wait for your insight, guys, since you know Disney better than me! :)

Thank you! :)

There are specific rules related to shipping to a Guest. The label must have the following information:

Name of Guest
Name of Resort
Resort Address
Phrase "Hold For Guest Arrival on {Date}"

Some places may do the three line address to include the Resort name.

But I don't know of any that would put the "Hold For Arrival {Date}" on the package.

And, by the way, anyone you talked to at Disney was at a call center that may have been more than a thousand miles from Disney World.

I shipped items to *** last year a case of water and a box of toiletries/snacks, the lady at the front desk was stumped and said they may have sent my items back home I almost cried, my box I think was sitting there almost two weeks! I was a little anxious and shipped both too early, However, she called someone and they had both my packages! They brought them to the room while we are at the park and I had no worries. I would just try to ship them closer to your arrival date I went to a shipping place and they put the hold date on there for me.

At the top of the resorts board, there is a sticky entitled "shipping to your resort."

One of the things that you cannot do is send it USPS, because it was end up in a warehouse distribution center before it gets to the resort. USPS does not "recoginize" the resort addresses.

There are also some resorts that are considered convention resorts and do tack on a fee for shipping to the resort. It is $10.00.

I called the Dolphin about packages....
USPS - give the package an extra 2 days of travel time....so if you think 3 days for arrival, leave 5 days for mailing.

Fees - The Dolphin says it depends on the weight of the package...
I think it starts at $10 for 10 pounds, and goes up from there.
So a heavy package - case of water - may cost $15 in fees.

We plan a food store stop with a car service, so we can buy some snacks on our way to the Dolphin (or POFQ).:goodvibes

anyone have any updates to this information? i would like to ship a play yard mattress from Amazon as well as a few cases of water from Staples to Art of Animation
